In as much as i believe, merit based recruitment into organizations are the way to go! Northerners have for a long time turned federal jobs into personal gains they use to reward their kins. Go to BOI, CBN, DPR, NNPC, FIRS, NA, NN, Airforce, Customs, Immigration etc. and do a census to determine the number of people from Northern extractions in those places.

This was because the North was running on deficit despite the fact that surpluses from Lagos and the southern protectorate were being sent to the North.
