Digital pimps: Nigeria’s booming sex economy where syndicates use tech to trap youth Beneath Nigeria’s digital landscape lies a shadowy and expanding underworld, a network of tech-savvy middlemen and pimps preying on young boys and girls through technology-driven sex crimes. This report exposes how these predators exploit the anonymity of the internet to lure, manipulate, and monetise their victims’ vulnerability. Operating behind screens and encrypted chats, they weave a web of deceit and exploitation, staying one step ahead of security agencies in Nigeria’s fast-evolving digital maze. CHIJIOKE IREMEKA writes

It's disheartening to see how things have changed. Before you start telling me love peddling – like it's been around forever – just look at how common it's become🤧🤦♂️ Young girls nowadays are jumping into the industry without a second thought, no shame whatsoever. Compare that to how our ancestors lived; it's like a whole different world🤧 🚶♂️ |

Blame the FG for all the stup!ed things never seen before birthing in Nigeria. Our youths now don't care about doing any stup!ed thing because they want to survive. Imagine the rate of Nigerians arrested in India on a daily basis, while others at home engages in all sorts of sexual perversion to make money. May God judge this country. |

Back then, it wasn’t even about money; we did it for fun. Some people even met their future partners that way.Why some ladies did it for fun others while catching fun met their future partners. And that’s a reason why some ladies body count while catching fun will continue to increase in arithmetic progressions. Chai. ![]() |

All this write up on top Opueh? Most Nigerian call girls are no longer forced into prostitution... They are ever willing to trade their bodies for sex. Go to tik-tok and see how they're begging to be shown the way out of Nigeria to all these francophone countries where sex is selling like Brent Crude oil. Back home... You can readily find thousands of girls on Inmessage, Badoo, Tinder, etc nobody is using tech to do nothing to anybody. |

The dating pool has being poisoned and exterminated. Men are now past 30 single and unbothered. Sex is now everywhere. For women morals is becoming a sapphire. Hard to see a girl with good proper upbringing. They're mostly now selling their bodies to the highest bidder. The future is indeed female |

The word “tech” itself is overrated in Nigeria. We just know how to stupify everything. To the point that we coined a name for people as refer to them as “tech bro” and “tech sis” which mean nothing but a young, good English speaking, nonconformist dressed (earring, dreads, pier, tattoo, dyed hair) guy or girl in the block who spends a lot without guys knowing their source of income, but can hardly tie it to yahoo yahoo. In other climes, the true guy who really does the tech thing doesn’t have a name. We must over do. |

BarrElChapo:There is. You simply didn’t read it word for word. I’m sure you simply scanned over the document thinking you will pick out how it relates to tech easily. Ntorrr! |

I call bull. The giveaway for this fable is the married women requesting young boys. BULLL! In nigeria where even the most ugly female, whether married or single is actively chased by thirsty males. Spoiler alert: married women ensure they get the same princess treatment and cash payment exactly like single girls - there is no difference. Many of them were the same hookup girls who just decided to manipulate one simp and secure status. They simply continue the hookup they've done all their lives. Stop peddling the non existent fantasy of "a wealthy married woman paying a young boy to sleep with her as she can't get a man because she is married". Capital bull crap. We've been sold this fantasy for generations, and every young boy keeps hoping it will happen to them and end up being disappointed. In fact, this fantasy has made married women so attractive to males, especially the young guys you're talking about. A young guy will go to lengths to woo and spend on a married that he won't on a normal single girl. Make we leave fantasy biko. Miss me with that familiar lame reported reply of "it happens o, just say you haven't seen it" "come to Abuja" bla bka bla. You didn't see nothing, you're just too afraid to admit your beloved fantasy is not real. |

Who pays someone 500k for a night in this nigeria. These people and their fantasies ehhh. This is actually the type of publication that will push innocent people to love peddling thinking they will earn these figures. Go to hustle and bustle in Abuja and see beautiful creatures being priced as as low as 30k |
