Those of us who are not a church goer, not Muslim, hate anything juju but we are just there. I can't help but to think what we are. It's not like I don't believe in the spiritual or God, as a matter of fact I used to be one of the active children pastors in my time during children programs now look at me. I am just there, suddenly decided to stop following my parents to church at around age 12 and I blame them hugely for this. Because they on the other hand just let me be, they talked few Sundays morning and that's just it. I wasn't forced more or whipped. If only they had really forced me maybe the direction my life is today would have been entirely different. I would have been an upcoming daddy G.0 by now living all righteous. I don't feel that urge to go back now but one thing I realised was during that time I was living more happier and always joyful on Sunday, the feeling, atmosphere is different. And there's this direction and focus you get when your a religious person than just being there like some of us are today. Not knowing where we fall on Nlfpmod Nlfpmod |

If they had forced you, you’ll still be whom you want to be or even worse. You never had the intention so just stay at home🤧😤 If they had flogged you, you’ll still create a thread on how your parents bullied you into religion. Because you stopped going to church, you became less happy 😂 Go search for your passion. You can leave church but not leave God😁 I still go to virtual services and even study the word. Being focused has nothing to do with church. If you feel like going, go. But don’t blame it on your parent or the cause of your unhappiness. Talking about being whipped🤧😤 🚶♂️ |

SpencerForbes:I wouldn't expect everyone to get what I meant. Only for the deep thinkers. Either you like it or not, our decisions make our future |

KiNg0G:When you get your kid, whip him or better still injure him. What’s thinking has to do with your decision not to worship God ![]() Internet has made everything easy. Or you still live in the Stone Age ![]() 🚶♂️ |

SpencerForbes:Your response reeks of immaturity. Even the scripture says train up a child the way he should go and when he's old he will not depart from it. I am referring to myself and not you. I have lived this life up to the stage that I am today, calculating mistakes and faults. |

KiNg0G:Your response reeks of lack of accountability. If you’re wise enough and wanted to be close to God, what’s your excuse ![]() No one is coming here to validate your wish or blame your parents except you’re still a kid. I’ve seen Muslims convert to christian and are faithful to “church” So take accountability for your woes. If they didn’t even take you to church, that would be another case but they took you and you turned your back on God. Till now. Haven’t you seen orphans that lost their parents at tender age but are so closed to God you wonder if they were visited by angels. Who whipped them If you’re an adult, you’re responsible for how your life turns. I stopped blaming my parents when I got to 18 and I’ve never regretted it. I just hate seeing men trying to push blames🤧The blame is on you sir. Take accountability🤧😤 🚶♂️ |

KiNg0G:That is a feeling if missing your purpose. Don't beat yourselve too much. some one received that purpose when you left it vacant and ran with it. if you stroll back, you would see some one doing what you imagined you would be doing had you stayed on the lane you were your childhood days. But that does not make you purposeless. Look out areas where you are strong. you will always see a vision lying unutilized. take it and run with it. make sure you enjoy it all along. It might not be magnificient. but enjoy it. |

KiNg0G:Being focused has nothing to do whether you are religious person or not. Being focused is the way you were trained |

paxonel:I am telling you being religious plays a huge role. I was once there and I have been out.. and still out. There's this direction you get.this focus..tat can't be explained. You think people just like going to church or mosque for no reasons. Some of them could care less about heaven..but that direction is just something that can't be bought |

Why not just go back now instead of blaming your parents? All they did was give you a choice. If you are not attending church services now, it means you would have stopped eventually regardless of what actions your parents take. Or do you expect they would force to go to church every time all through your lifetime ? |

Walklifeman:it wasn't certain I would have stopped eventually. Just maybe I would have held on, and still holding on till now. Sometimes all we need is a little bit more push and push... choice is not just enough |

KiNg0G:Your true self is what you do when there's no one to force you. If you are not attending now that there is no one to force you, that's on you. |

Walklifeman:Does a kid of 11 to 12 has his true self yet? If so while is there a term known as guidians, parents. Yes it was my decision then and I was a kid if only they had pushed me more it would have meant a lot for me today. |

KiNg0G:Are you 11 or 12 years old now? I'm saying forget the past. If you believe going to church can improve your life, what is stopping you now? |

KiNg0G:Whatever direction you are getting from your pastor is a function of his personal knowledge, ńot a religious miracle |

KiNg0G:Your parents are sincere people as they don't really know the purpose of going to church they refuse to force it on you but i'm sure they never did the same with your going to school. So don't blame them they felt when you grow older you will decide for yourself! |

KiNg0G:You are a very unserious individual, thinking your parents are wrong for granting you a liberty, at age 12, that many of our own parents vehemently denied us, explaining we had the right to our autonomy so long as we remained under their roof. 🥱🥱🥱 If at this point in your personal development, you have yet to realize that religion is, in fact, a personal choice for individuals to make for themselves, and on their own terms, then you probably stopped growing up at some point in your past. I suggest you do some soul searching to find out when, and what exactly happened, so you can become more self-aware and also intentional about your path forward. 🥱🥱🥱 |
