Look at Nigeria today..
We don't like ourselves
we don't think the same
we don't even have same idea of development
We have absolutely different value system

So someone tell me why exactly Nigeria should be one

Would dividing Nigeria solve our problems? Absolutely not But it makes solving them easier

The reason why most northern Nigerians want one nigeria is because they think it makes it easier to spread Sharia and islam in Nigeria

Again I ask why should Nigeria be one someone tell me your reason

Nations that develop faster are those that put differences aside...or embrace their differences while having a unifying factor. No nation is completely homogeneous. Even without clear majority if they is no unity then they will always be issues.

Even brothers living together in a house will be divisive and keep having issues until they decide to work in unity.

Two cannot work together except they agree!

Somalia is a homogeneous nation and it is worse than many multiethnic nations.

Yemen is a homogeneous nation and it is a atrocious warzone. And poor beforehand

North Korea is a homogeneous nation and is severely underdeveloped. And an autocracy.

Haiti is a homogeneous nation, and a mess.

Many central American nations are culturally homogenous and are also a mess.

Burma is majorly homogenous. And a mess.


Nations develop when they realize that their resources are limited. Biafra did not develop a military industrial complex until they were cut off from oil revenues by Nigeria. That's when they woke up.

China , USA, Canada, even Russia are not homogeneous nations, yet they are developed because they realized their resources are limited. Ditto Japan and South Korea which are homogeneous. Limited resources force development.

We can split Nigeria, but each and everyone of the new countries will be filled with people asking for their share of the national cake. No one will want to hear development via productivity. And you can rest assured there would be fight for resources control.

Good leadership is carrying everyone along...

And giving everyone a sense of belonging.

Without that sense of belonging break the country in families.... each family forming a country... there would still be fights and issues.

The reason why we have never had good leadership in Nigeria is because people think that a good leader is someone who shares the money 'equitably'

That kind of attitude leads to debt, and lack of productivity and the idea that we have unlimited riches which is not true

A real leader will tell us we are broke , poor and we need to get working to make the best of our limited resources. That we need to use our limited resources to make globally accepted products.But most Nigerians will call that person , male or female, a big liar and an excuser of corruption and bad government, and then vote for people like tinubu.

Also, Nigerians want good roads, light , and so on free of charge. That kind of attitude is how the USSR went from being a superpower to self destruction. Free stuff and anenmites still.need to be paid for, and Nigeria can't sustain that , and most people think taxes are an invention of Lucifer Iblis, so inevitably loans are taken. Debt results.

It's that thinking that is the cause of most of our problems, insecurity included, today

I don't support Nigeria's break up, what I believe is that under a UN supervised referendum, those that want to leave like Biafra, middle belt and Niger delta can leave .

That's what you think all regions majorly want, I used to think like that too, Buhari and Tinubu's presidency exposed all of that, do you know there are people might be starving in this Tinubu's regime that are enjoying what is going on in Nigeria?

They are just happy that their tribesman is in power and he is pushing tribal supremacy for them, that's all they want for a country, same thing played out for the north in Buhari's time....

Then there is this tribal sympathy a lot of south westerners have for Tinubu which they seem not to call him out like Jonathan or if it were another tribe that was in power, even though he is performing worse...

No Nation in the world exist as it is in Nigeria today. They have all split apart longtime ago along Ethnic & Religious lines and self determine their destiny.

And Nigeria destiny is division in the long or short run. Destiny can only be delayed. Because your destiny exist before you.
