If we are going to play 4-4-2. This will be my team

Osayi/Awaziem Federick Bassey Sanusi

Chukwu Onyeka/Onyedika Ndidi Moses/Iwobi

Lookman Osihmen
Akor in place of lookman.
He should play from bench abeg.
Exactly that team that played benin is what we want..whats wrong with yall

I don't agree with this. But every other thing you said is on point. I think we've argued this a while back.

If you score your penalties, then why will you be a "bad" penalty taker? Osimhen has not missed one penalty since he joined Galatasaray, he even scored against Alison whom he missed against while at Napoli, so I no believe this one.

9 penalties taken for Galatasaray so far, 9 scored.
Yeah we have had this conversation before. Like I said, he scores but in a high stakes penalty shoot, I will not entrust Osimhen with taking it ooo.

What do we do in our games besides floating in crosses? Lol. That's literally our entire game strategy. The issue is that we suck at actually making those crosses.
Your last sentence makes my point. That's why I say that we aren't making juice out of his aerial ball controlling abilities. It's not on Osimhen. It's on us as in the rest of the team especially the wingers

Emmy450:
we always try to oh, just that most of the crosses are useless (too intense or too short), usual culprit is uncle Moses Simon.
Useless crosses is the same as no cross. You cross, it cannot reach Osimhen. How will his ability come into play.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 7:13pm On Nov 02, 2025
Emmy450:
I believe he has it, but has not explored that aspect of his game.
He scored a few goals with intense shot that banged the net in Napoli, although he took those shots in the box, it would be nice seeing him score from outside the box with powerful shots.
I would be happy to see him unleash shots. We don't even have any player with shots. Ndidi was supposed to be that man but he so much embraced the role of a destroyer to the extent that he destroyed even his own goal scoring abilities.

Amedino99:
we kinda do. Apart from our all ball to osimhen strategy, we try to utilise the cross method when we can. A good example was the afcon semi final against south africa. We were loading the ball to his head every opportunity we get and he was not converting it that well. I think they were about 3 headers he failed to utilise in that match.
He's become more deadlier now. See that third goal against Benin. If not that football is a game we all know, I'd have said na juju e use score that goal.

Haba the Law with 29 goals in 43 caps
Baba, that means he would have been on more than 29 goals by now. And mind you my post is limited to the issue of aerial balls. I've seen him control aerial balls so well that I feel we should be giving him more of that. If we are giving him 5, we should increase it to 10.

"do you think Osimhen would've been on 29 goals with 43 cap"

Common sense
The question is not that would Osimhen have been on 29 goals, Rather could he have had more? If their end products were as useful as they ought to be, Osimhen wouldn't be on 29 goals.... Fact!!!!

And quite frankly , the post is not even about Osimhen... It is about our supposed wingers who cant do basic things such as square a ball timeously when it would have mattered. As I always tell people, there is a difference between being effective and being efficient

Why does everything revolve around Afcon. How about we talk about the matches we have played after Afcon? Why were we happy he got carded in the match against lesotho? How come we were able to score more than 2 goals post that match? How many goals did we score as a team? At the end of it all, I think it all comes down to how different our football philosophies are. While everyone may not agree with my point of view and while we may agree to disagree, still I gotta respect other views. Cheers to all Super Eagles fans

You said Lookman always kill the momentum of our attack
Like he has never had a good game for the Super Eagles
It's not just about AFCON
Even after AFCON Lookman has been good for us
Was it not Lookman that scored 2 against Benin in our AFCON qualifiers
So just because of some few bad performance with all the transfer saga we should just discard him

Kills which attack? Guy go and take sit with this una agenda. The same Lookman that scored plenty goals and was carrying us when Osihmen was injured. Same Lookman that scored winning goals in AFCON R16 and quaterfinals. Same Look.an that assisted Osihmen only goal in AFCON is killing our attack because Akor scored on his debut agaisnst Lesotho? So if you be coach, if them keep Lookman and Akor for you as option you go bench Lookman? That shows our football knlwlwdge as fans

Same Lookman that was spearheading our attack scoring goals during AFCON qualifiers is suddenly killing our attack because he didnt score in the last qualification rounds. SMH

There is nothing like keep simple. Allow him to play his game. Anyways Thank God you are not the coach.

Na Lookman you wan bench and play Akor.
Lookman that has transfer issues, immediately he settled with the club they restored him in the starting eleven, he even scored last week.

I wish I could engage but I respectfully will have to decline that need to. As I said, we all don't see things from the same perspective. I wish Luku the best

The one he took against Liverpool was low stakes? 😳

In a match where the odds were against them, against a goalkeeper he knows he had missed the last time he faced him, in a match where he had just returned from injury and he's the main man expected to turn up for them?

High stake is nothing different from that sir 😌😌

Lookman - Osimhen is the perfect partnership if they play to complement each other.

They should both assist each other where necessary. if any of them is selfish it would reduce the other, because they are both top strikers in their own right.

ok sir, but I did not call Moses Simon "a useless player" I said "most of his crosses are useless, either to intense or too short" ,

I believe we'll qualify sir no doubt about that.
