We submitted 2 applications on October 7 and 9 respectively. We just picked the passport for the 9th October application this afternoon.

One month visa approved (Had 2022 expired Schengen visa) and valid US/Canada visas. Wishing everyone the best as we wait.

Thank you for your response.

You submitted in Lagos? I guess because of your Canada/US visa maybe it’s why they responded fast. I submitted October 10th… tho I have UK 2yrs visa on it. My last France visa just expired in July. I am just scared I haven’t even heard anyone from September receive their passport back. So I thought they had not started responding to October.. It is well. I pray it gets sorted out soon . Thank you.

What about the 7th application? Have they released the passport too?

Thank you.

Not yet. I tracked using https://visas-fr.tlscontact.com/en-us/22763917/workflow/application-summary and it's showing 'IN PROCESS'

I checked the 9th application earlier today and was showing 'In process' as well but we later received a mail and SMS at 2.10pm to pick the passport.

wow... I have to submit my passport for stamping to the Canadian embassy for my visa. The 30 day period expires this friday and I have still not gotten my passport back from France embassy. I wish there were a way I could simply walk to the embassy and collect my passport to apply again at a later time.

Guys, if your visa gets rejected, always endeavor to appeal before reapplying. Atleast, to clear whatever misgivings.
Goodluck.

I’ll advise you pay French embassy a visit with your docs. Also include the passport submission notification you got from Canada.

Hello guys, I am new here. I am thinking of applying for a visitor visa to France.
Please, what is the approval rate in the French embassy? Is it low or high? I know the US embassy has a very low approval rate.
And also, is 3 million enough for the bank statement to be submittedhuh

I will apprecaite your input on this.
Thanks

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by VisaZest: 12:57pm On Nov 05, 2025
Hi,

Approvals are very application-specific and many factors come into play. Every country wants to know that if one applies for a temporary visa, they will actually visit temporarily and return to their home country rather than choose to stay illegally in the country they visited.

Two key considerations are:
1. economic circumstances of the applicant i.e do they have a good and consistent source of income that they are likely to return to in Nigeria.
2. ties to Nigeria- family, property etc

N3m is a bit low and I'll tell you why-
1. Depending on the airline you fly, your ticket can cost around N1.5m.
2. Depending on the number of days you intend to stay and the type of accommodation you select (eg hostel vs hotel), accommodation can cost you another N1.2m.
3. You are also expected to have money for daily feeding and activities like tours/ local transportation.
4. Plus some "change" to show you have money to spend after you return to Nigeria.

That said, some people have possibly submitted a bank statement of N3m and scaled through- remember, each application is considered on a case by case basis.

All the best!
