CapitalCee:i gallantly highlighted all the games 6 important games Osimhen missed while lookman was fully fit spearheading as the starman/poster boy of the team in those games….Osimhen also scored in the 3-0 match against Benin |

minfelix:Osihmen came from the bench in that match. However, lookman was very important that period for people to come and be shi.tting on him now due to club issues is unfair |

FIFA U17 WC kicks off today. SA U17 beat Bolivia 3-1 Senegal U17 played 0-0 vs Croatia Morocco U17s losing 0-2 to Japan U17 with 79mins played. Looks like the Moroccan sit-back and hit on counter pattern isnt working or hasnt been well mastered by the Atlas Cubs. |

Kog45:As far as I know, I have not blamed Lookman for our qualification wahala. I've not even blamed the main architects - Peseiro and Finidi. And I've not read kennysville nor any other critic blame Lookman for our qualification travails. We are talking about qualities he should embrace and the ones he should ditch so that our team can play to its full potential. Simple. In any case, I don't think it's right to label opinions here as agenda. |

CapitalCee:me im not rubbishing lookman ooo, just my own point is he was not delivering much when Osimhen was away injured…he scored first goal against Benin in the first half, Osimhen came and double the lead, that alone self will discourage Benin to even think of a come back…that game was heading to 1-0 FT result or make Benin even fight back to equalize…but that Osimhen impact sub at 78th mins change the whole vibe of that game and goals started flowing…Lookman is good sha…but we need more of him to deliver us in tight games without Osimhen |

It is sadly what it is. So #Vision2027 it is starting with screening talents and conducting MRI tests for talents now that will be no older than grade IV 17y/o by 2027 WC. Preparing early ahead of the 2026 WafuB is key. E no hard! Prep should start now. solonnachi: |

Rivers Utd would compete in Group A of the CAF Champions League Group Stage. Reigning African Champs, Pyramids FC are also in the group. Maroc Giant and League Champs, RS Berkane also in the group. Zambia's Champs, Power Dynamos complete the group. Mighty tough battles ahead for Finidi and co.

Bossoflife25:LOOKMAN is a very good player as you stated. but i just feel that we should keep the phrase 'single handedly' far away, when it comes to team sports, it kind of demeans everyother players effort in my opinion cheers!!! |

How can you be comparing Lookman and Victor moses. Lookman that won the Caf player of the year. What did Victor moses win in his playing years. Lookman is far better than Victor moses. |

minfelix:We need a leader in the middle to find exactly who’s always in the best position in the attack to link up play then like someone said earlier our boys need to be more clinical sometimes they look scared to shoot maybe they are avoiding injuries I don’t know, only osihmen is always too willing to put his body on the line for goals. |

TheSuperNerd:But Nerdie, I think this WAFU B U17 regional or zonal qualifiers format should really be revisited ooo. Since there are seven teams that make up this zone, why not play it like a league system like the way it is done in South America. The top two teams qualify instead of splitting them into 2 groups. This system tire me abeg. NFF should do something. So that is how players like Ugochukwu Edeh and co will just go unnoticed. Na wa oo |

Typicalgamer, Mujtahida. We've always known Lookman to being who he's always been, I'm really not surprised. It's left for the gaffer to know exactly what he wants to do and he wants to achieve it and go for it.

We already have Uche. He fits that profile modified: as regards the a ball holder and carrier Mujtahida: |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 2:27am On Nov 04, 2025 |
He is a Mezzala-type Midfield Profile capable in vertical creative transitions and as a ball holder/carrier. Also can act as a metronome through whom all plays connect from midfield to the final third. Tobywrites absolutely bottled Akinsanmiro's playing profile. Saying he is similar to Ndidi is "over the bar" and a really funny case of player misprofiling especially for "one who has watched the kid". Mujtahida: |

Uche fits it yes, but in a differemt way. He is a Power playing, Technically adept, ball carrying hunk of a player. When I see Uche play, I see another Yaya (Mancity's version). Funnily like Uche, Yaya could also play all midfield roles from DM, CM to CAM. The all round Box to Box Monster. Showed it across the clubs he featured for before City. At City, we saw Yaya used in the best way, Box to Box with freedom to get forward and link up with the final third. So like Yaya, Uche will be most effective when given the freedom to operate as our own complete, barnstorming box-to-box midfielder. He operates either centrally as the CAM (in some cases) or He plays (more often) as part of a double pivot in a midfield trio but with licence/freedom to get forward and make those strong powerful ball carrying runs as we saw him do time and again at Getafe in La Liga. In Akinsanmiro, we have something slightly different in a creative sense. A Mezzala Creative profile. A midfielder with the ability to drift into the half spaces and try make things happen. While he is also expected to be comfortable centrally, he also moves into the channels between the opposition's central defenders and fullbacks (i.e. the halfspaces). Examples of such profiles are Barella and Pogba. Akinsanmiro is in this light per his talent profile. Joebie: |
