It is a diabolical way of picking the Afcon ticket as WafuB houses 7 World U17 titles alone. 7!!! No other continental subregion worldwide boasts of more. But then, while we hope and maybe push for changes, we have to deal with the cards we are dealt.

#U17Vision2027 is a must and it starts with the 2026 WafuB U17 which we can start preparations for now by screening the finest 14-15year olds talents nationwide. The aim is to ensure none is above the grade IV in the MRI test scale by 2027 WC. Grade V is risky. Grade VI is automatic ineligibility.

solonnachi:
But Nerdie, I think this WAFU B U17 regional or zonal qualifiers format should really be revisited ooo. Since there are seven teams that make up this zone, why not play it like a league system like the way it is done in South America. The top two teams qualify instead of splitting them into 2 groups. This system tire me abeg. NFF should do something. So that is how players like Ugochukwu Edeh and co will just go unnoticed. Na wa oo
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Predator87: 3:10am On Nov 04, 2025
Why cant the NFF and WAFU pressure CAF into giving WAFUB an additional slot?? Why should East Africa that has the likes of Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania that did didly squat be giving 3 slots? This is the satanic CAF politics that nobody talks about. They need to scrap the regional qualifiers and go back to the old school format. This regional nonsense is just there to benefit the East, North and Southern Africans.

The NFF wont talk but when its time to embezzle money, they will spring into action.

Some Naija lads in action much later this tuesday.

David Moses expected to feature vs Arsenal in the UCL for Slavia Prague. Really keen to see where he features yet again in Europe. RWB or CDM. Time will tell.
Still 21 and can be another Onazi if all goes well in his progression curve but I must repeat, his profile is similar to some talents we have like Ojediran, Nnadi and Yusuf (check out Yusuf at 21). Only difference is David Moses potentially has a higher ceiling but time will reveal how high.

Bruno Onyemaechi likely to start for Olympiacos in the UCL vs PSV in Ortega's absence. Another chance to observe him. He was really exposed vs Barca's Bardhji. Imagine if that was Yamal.

Semi Ajayi also expected to play in Hull's Championship game vs Derby. Hull is currently 7th on the 24-team Championship table. While he will miss the Gabon fixture, he should be available for the potential playoff final.

Victor Osimhen on his and Galatasaray's UCL ambitions

🚨Osimhen: “This year, the world will know us.”

🗣️ Victor Osimhen spoke to UEFA:

> “We want to really make a statement in the Champions League.
We want to show that in Turkey, we are the team that the whole world will know this year.”
Years of domestic dominance now this team wants to make its voice heard in Europe.
The Champions League is not just a goal anymore, it’s a challenge.
Every match must be a hunger for us because only with that spirit, history is written.

Up next for Osimhen: Ajax on wednesday.

Looks like AFCON list too minus injured Ola Aina and Dele-Bashiru.
Osayi-Samuel is not a sure in anyway.
I pity Igoh Ogbu how Eric Chelle just used and discarded him.

We already have Uche. He fits that profile

modified:
as regards the a ball holder and carrier
It's not bad if we have 2 ball carriers. That's how we build depth in the squad.

Oh wow. That's cool

Well, I always pass the verification stage. The issue I have is with the registration. I've been reading as a guest for a long time, so I'm not an official member yet. And recently I think they've blocked off their threads to people who aren't registered members.

The issue is I've tried registering but it just keeps loading with no end in sight.

Abeg if you can help us reach mods it will be nice. I enjoyed reading insights from the likes of danfo driver and co.

I appreciate your take.

TheSuperNerd:
Uche fits it yes, but in a differemt way. He is a Power playing, Technically adept, ball carrying hunk of a player. When I see Uche play, I see another Yaya (Mancity's version). Funnily like Uche, Yaya could also play all midfield roles from DM, CM to CAM. The all round Box to Box Monster. Showed it across the clubs he featured for before City. At City, we saw Yaya used in the best way, Box to Box with freedom to get forward and link up with the final third.

So like Yaya, Uche will be most effective when given the freedom to operate as our own complete, barnstorming box-to-box midfielder. He operates either centrally as the CAM (in some cases) or He plays (more often) as part of a double pivot in a midfield trio but with licence/freedom to get forward and make those strong powerful ball carrying runs as we saw him do time and again at Getafe in La Liga.

In Akinsanmiro, we have something slightly different in a creative sense. A Mezzala Creative profile. A midfielder with the ability to drift into the half spaces and try make things happen. While he is also expected to be comfortable centrally, he also moves into the channels between the opposition's central defenders and fullbacks (i.e. the halfspaces).
Examples of such profiles are Barella and Pogba. Akinsanmiro is in this light per his talent profile.

Joebie:
Lookman - Osimhen is the perfect partnership if they play to complement each other.

They should both assist each other where necessary. if any of them is selfish it would reduce the other, because they are both top strikers in their own right.
Lookman only plays as top dog whenever Osimhen is not around..
When Osimhen is in the side, Lookman plays team ball

Mujtahida:
Good pick. Osimhen really needs both an on pitch partner and deputy on the bench. There's this guy with cream colored front patch of hair in Galatasaray who presses together with Osimhen. If we can get Osimhen another hunting partner like that guy at his club, it would be good.

Bro, what happened to cybereagles? I can't just read as a non member no more. Wasn't so before. I enjoy visiting there from time to time.

TheSuperNerd:
He is a Mezzala-type Midfield Profile capable in vertical creative transitions and as a ball holder/carrier. Also can act as a metronome through whom all plays connect from midfield to the final third.

Tobywrites absolutely bottled Akinsanmiro's playing profile. Saying he is similar to Ndidi is "over the bar" and a really funny case of player misprofiling especially for "one who has watched the kid".
You have unique vision of these players and I hope our technical crew deploy him in a fitting manner.
