Fayose dismisses Court Order allowing PDP National Convention to proceed by Pakute(op): 7:32pm On Nov 04, 2025
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has dismissed the order reportedly granted by an Oyo State High Court on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention, describing it as “Ibadan judicial and political awada kerikeri of a hand-to-mouth-judge.”

Justice A. L. Akintola issued the ruling on Monday, following an ex parte application filed by Folahan Malomo Adelabi, effectively countering a restraining order earlier granted by the Federal High Court in Abuja last week.

Reacting to the development, Fayose, in a statement on Tuesday, described the order as “Ibadan judicial and political awada kerikeri of a hand-to-mouth-judge.”

Fayose said even the most unintelligent human being in Nigeria will know that a State High Court cannot act as an Appellate Court over the Federal High Court.

According to him, the order is another show of desperation by those who have become the undertakers, waiting at the graveside to give the PDP a final burial.

He said, “How do you go to a State High Court to get an exparte order asking INEC to monitor a national convention on which a Federal High Court ruled five days ago that it should not monitor?

“It appears that desperation has affected their sense. If not, they won’t go to a State High Court to obtain an order on a matter already decided by a Federal High Court.

“The judge only granted an ineffective order that is dead on arrival order. It is an order no one, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), can obey.”

Fayose further called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to sanction Justice A.L. Akintola, who issued the ex exparte order, despite being aware of the October 31, 2025, judgment of Justice James Omotosho on the same matter.

He added, “Hand to mouth judges like Justice Akintola are bad eggs that must be flushed out of the judiciary.

“Unfortunately for them, the PDP has been rescued from their hands and it is now in the intensive care, being looked after by the new Acting National Chairman, Mohammed Abdulrahman.

“I am hopeful that the party will survive under Abdulrahman, and start the most important process of healing from the injuries it suffered from the vampires, which the Ibadan elements represent.”

You go explain tire, Wike, Fayose, Lere are all working together, so it doesn't matter who wrote the statement. You're neither here nor there, you carry PDP, LP, ADC matter on your head yet you go dey form neutral, you dey deceive yourself.
Makinde & Bala have not yet escaped Wike's trap, they have added Sule Lamido who is another trouble on his own to join Wike's camp. The moment Wike's camp have occupied the acting chairman office, no Jupiter in this world can take it back from them.

A Zoo is a Zoo

The fact that Nnamdi Kanu coined the phrase Zoo is a testimony to the genius he truly is...

A Zoo is exactly what George Orwell structured his most infamous book ANIMAL FARM..

Which draws an incredible parallel to authoritarian, communist and Marxist ideology...

Nigeria is exactly a zoo just like Agoerge I well Animal farm. Read that book and you will be shocked that it is exactly what is going on in Nigeria

What he said is true,a high court can't adjudicate or overturned a case already decided by a competent high court, it's only an appeal court that can do that.

Stop talking nonsense! A state high court cannot act as an appellate court to a federal high court! Both court are of equal footing! Therefore, one has to step down for the other

The last time I checked, Fayose has his own social media account and the last time I checked, Fayose was on Channels talking about the new development where he said Makinde's camp have lost the plot and a new man is now in charge. There's nothing in this statement that doesn't align with Fayose's point of view.
