I established long ago, especially on this thread, that Osimhen is a better well rounded Striker than Haaland even though Haaland is definitely the better finisher. But because na Supernerd talk am, several didnt take it seriously despite me dropping analytical metrices to back it up. Thanks Goodness, Veteran Journo, Charles Anazodo is taking it up again.

Anyway, we move. I dont do delulu analysis. I say what I see both in the now and as a projection on what a player can become based on his playing profile/traits.

Before I drop a major take on players analysis, I have long done my homework.

Haaland edges in ball control but Osimhen trumps in ball carriage and Progressive Carries into the opposition third. This confirms him as a great attacking outlet for his side not just for his pace but his ability to pick up the ball and drive forward even against strong opposition pressure and this establishes his growing reputation as a ball carrying forward in addition to the pressing forward and elite power forward that he is naturally. Much better compared to Haaland.

Conclusion: These stats back up my stance. Haaland is an elite center forward with world class finishing ability, good passing and very decent ball control. But Osimhen is also Elite as a decent passer, monster presser, top ball carrying forward, and aerial monster. His finishing is very good but not yet as elite as Haaland's.

All things considered, this little exercise and analytical breakdown buttresses my central point.

Osimhen have got mad attributes that gives him the all round edge over Erling Häland.

Both are monsters. Both are young and still growing.

One is an Elite Goals Machine... One is a Truly well rounded Monster Machine.

Next time, always know there is evidence behind every stance I take from deep analytical standpoints.

I knew their interpretations were coming from a place of not knowing how technique is defined.

When i said I will pick Osimhen ahead of Haaland, some thought that my stand was motivated purely by patriotism.

It's a non issue for me. Their officiating will be fair and professional. If they are from the South African PSL we have nothing to worry about. They are among the best in Africa even without VAR.
