We Pushed For Designation Of Nigeria - US Based Benue Man (video) by EdonhappenTv(op): 12:44pm On Nov 06, 2025

A US-based Benue indigene has detailed how he and others played a role in pushing for Nigeria’s designation as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC), saying a series of de@dly attacks in his state convinced them that international intervention was necessary.

In a viral video, the man said the June 13–14, 2025 Yelwata massacre, in which more than 200 Christian villagers were killed and roughly 3,000 people displaced, became the turning point for him. According to him, the scale of the killings made him realise “that would be the catalyst for other things to come.”

He accused the Nigerian government of shielding perpetrators and claimed that those behind what he described as an alleged Fulani jihad “are in government and part of some emirates in the country.”

The Benue indigene said a US lawmaker contacted him after he submitted a petition on the crisis, adding that Washington is seeking “reactionary solutions, not offensives,” in dealing with the violence. He maintained that the CPC designation is only the “least” measure the US government is prepared to take, suggesting stronger actions may follow.

His account, however, contradicts the claims made by presidential aides Daniel Bwala and Temitope Ajayi, who recently alleged that IPOB was responsible for driving the latest narrative surrounding Christian k!llings in Nigeria.

Just name these people.

Everybody claiming they are in government but no name has been given yet.

If the US has the intelligence to help Nigeria you name them and what their role is in the persecution of Christians

"They are in government" is a code for I don't know what I am saying

Ok na,those shouting ipob and Igbo can now rest…
Nigeria had this designation coming a long time ago, thinking the world was not watching..

Perhaps if we were united,it would have been difficult for trump to have a reason but it’s already too late!

I hope Benue people know their enemies and those that deny the Christian genocide.

Be proud of yourselves, you did absolutely nothing wrong. Your people were being slaughtered more than cows while the government ignored your cries. Adeshina even said "give your ancestral homes up or die". Never. Benue people have made me proud. You are true patriots. Send the terrorists back to wherever they came from.

The quickest way to become stupid selfless and myopic is to be appointed as media aide to the president.

They just throw away all sense of reasoning and spit out all sorts of gibberish

Blaming ipob

Very laughable 😁

You might not fully grasp the situation in Nigeria, so let me offer some insight.

I work for a multinational company where the second-in-command of our factory authorised some of our workers to steal drums of transformer oil for him. As someone with integrity, we caught him in the act and reported it to the Factory Engineer. Other workers in the department also reported the issue, but what most of us didn’t know was that this individual, Edward, was actually stealing the oil for the Factory Engineer.

Some colleagues figured out the scheme and chose to remain silent, while others continued to speak out. Instead of addressing our reports, the Factory Engineer levelled accusations against those who spoke up, resulting in their dismissal, while Edward was promoted. Those who understood the situation and kept quiet faced no repercussions in their employment. This is a reflection of the circumstances in Nigeria: reporting the foot soldiers to the commander who sent them can lead to significant personal consequences.

The killings in Benue was animalistic, too much on our conscience as a people...this is why Trump used the word disgraced country.

I listened to Trump video earlier, it sounds so aggressive and unreasonable.
He said they gonna do things to Nigeria that Nigerians are not going to be happy about.
I mean why do you wanna do things that you know Nigerians are not going to like, having said that... I think the best way to go about this is to do whatever they're going to do with FG approval, if otherwise that's an illegal invasion.

The fact remains that Nigeria is a complex country tbh, these unrest used to be solely in Northeastern part of the country, now the unrest/bokoharam attack in the Northeast and Borno has reduced drastically, since Tinubu became the president, the attacks are now majorly in North Central states like Benue and to be candid, in my own knowledge, I don't think it's a religion based attack.

But whichever way, I hope USA doesn't attack without FG approval cos it might lead to a long time civil war within Nigeria

Everyone eyes go clear soon 😂

All these never reach Endsars propaganda. And Nigeria survived it.

Everyone should save their Adrenaline and Dopamine. With or without US intervention, It won’t end the way you all think it will end.

US can send 100 drones, which is unlikely. But at the end of the day, Nigeria will remain Nigeria. The government will remain the government. The president will remain the president.
