There is no single move or dribble that Lamine Yamal pulled yesterday that our own Chidera Ejuke cannot perform, none. Yamal had his good moments, and his errors. What Ejuke needs to add to his game is the mentality of a super star. He needs to demand more of the ball. He needs to make it easier for his teammates to give him the ball by placing himself in positions where the ball can easily get to him. He needs to assert dominance on the field of play. He needs to make things happen and sometimes he needs to force it. Leadership is needed to stand out. Iwobi is what he is at Fulham because he provides the needed leadership on the field of play, he is part of almost everything that happens on the field. |

Ejuke sometimes plays like someone who is afraid of blame. Risk is part of the game. Players like Osimhen or Yamal don't care much about your criticisms of their play. Without risk no player can stand out. |

mekabuachi: They for add a Ghanaian to complete am.VAR will be very important. As long as we take our chances on time to reduce pressure, those referees will respect themselves. I expect them to be professionals. But of all the referees in Africa,na only SA they can assign to us? Those CAF's guys dey behave like our NFF. |

The NIGERIA vs GABON World Cup Qualifier would be officiated by a host of South African officials. Centre Ref - TOM Abongile - South Africa. Assistant Referee - SIWELA Zakhele Thusi. Granville - South Africa. VAR - MAKALIMA Akhona Zennith - South Africa. Ref Assessor - ADJOVI Hugues Alain - Benin Republic. Appointing the following officials from nationals who have just been challenged by the Super Eagles in the battle to qualify for the just concluded FIFA World Cup games sounds questionable from the strict moral sense of it. South Africa has got some beef against Nigeria and this was openly and bitterly expresses by their FA Chairman. Benin Republic just got outsmarted by the Super Eagles through superior points from the same qualifying group and (the officials from that part of the world) may love to make some calls at the disadvantage of their arc rivals. Do not forget, in a contest like this, every detail matters and the margin of error to make a difference could just be very slim. Counsel: I advise the Super Eagles players not to be reckless in their tackles on the pitch. They should watch their temper and respond to the officials respectfully and if possible, do that through their captain only. These officials will definitely work against the Super Eagles. I pray we put up performances that will not leave our Victory at the mercy of the officials. Good day family |

mekabuachi:Which kind wahala be this? South Africa has become thorn in our flesh oo 😂😂😂. They stopped us from qualifying from the group, now they're after us again in this playoffs? It's most unfair for CAF to give us SA refs. Fairness is not merely an act, it is perception. The SA minister of sports was emphatic that he does not want Nigeria to qualify. Motsepe is the head of CAF and a South African and now SA refs have been appointed to officiate our match against Gabon? Is this a conspiracy to tank our WCQ hopes? |

terzurum5:This should be absolutely rejected by Nigeria.... No ifs or buts, simply reject it. Of all Referees in the Continent, you chose SA refs to officiate our match? No, No!! This was how SA was allowed to play 7 matches at home and we did not contest it. NFF should not allow this nonsense to repeat itself |

But seriously on a scale of 100 to 100, how obsessed are South Africans with Nigerians? 🤦🏾♀️ First of all, their useless FA president openly stated that he doesn't wish us well in the playoffs. Then CAF goes on to appoint a team of referees that are 97% South African. No North Africans. Not even countries like Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda from the East who are overflowing with credible referees. 😂 You people already qualified for the World Cup. You literally have nothing at stake. What will it profit you personally if Nigeria doesn't go the world cup? The worst is the hairless criminal that I'm suspecting is behind the stifling of NFF's complaint letter after the fact. Wow betide Pinnick if Nigeria doesn't qualify! |

It doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter until Nigeria score a clean goal that can give us a 1-0 win and VAR chops it off unfairly as they did in some Afcon games. Make una dey play Underestimating off field politics is one of the reasons we are here, South Africa played 7 games at home, no travels, had their fans in 70% of their games, yet we keep underestimating this things. It takes one bad call to ruin a football match, all we can do is shout later. |

Mujtahida:Bros, Iwobi own don do. Una never tire ? You cant expect Osimhen to fight defender all through every match. We need a midfield that can match the quality of that of Morocco and Senegal otherwise forget any chance at winning the AFCON |

Starboytwo:Sentiments everywhere. I said that there is no single move or dribble that Yamal pulled yesterday that Ejuke hadn't in the past. Ejuke emerged the best dribbler ahead of Yamal only for injuries to place him just one place below him in the just concluded season. Defensively Ejuke is better. What Ejuke needs is game time to show what he can do. There is nothing that Yamal can do that Ejuke cannot. Absolutely nothing. Ejuke's problem is just the mentality to assert dominance and secure a place for himself. He needs to contend. |
