EPL Reigning Champions. Note the key word(s), Sheikh Emekus.

Chidera Ejuke is a good recall. I only hope we get to see the more teamwork-oriented Ejuke I have seen this season so far. Truth is on his day, he can change the momentum of a game.

No Christantus Uche is justified. The gifted lad has not been getting the sort of gametime that earns invites for such big games. Also Chelle still has not figured him out.
Frank Onyeka doesnt get much gametime too but still has 80 more EPL mins than Uche this season plus he has the merit of being an integral part of the team especially a key player at the last afcon before Chelle showed up.

Ebenezer Akinsanmiro would have made the list but for the injury he picked up yesterday. Really miffed at this but his time will inevitably come.

GK dept is okay. No complaints.

Defence has everyone I was expecting to see. Good to see Awaziem back. Pls Semi misses the Gabon game. I am sure the technical crew has taken note.

Midfield has 5 names including an Onyedika who gave us an injury scare in the UCL. Good to see it is not so serious. The midfield are all regular faces and with injuries to FDB and potential Akin, no complaints.

The Attack... Solid.
3CFs.. Osimhen, Akor, Tolu
LW... Simon
RW... Chukwueze, Olakunle
LW/RW... Ejuke
SS/LW... Lookman

And I hope Chelle considers Ejuke ahead of Olakunle Olusegun as one of the wing options off the bench. I cap not when I agree with Meliforme's analysis on Ejuke being a genuine game changer and a winger capable of producing chances-creating actions and shots-creating actions.

In all, nothing surprising on the list. Just the squad that should get the job done.

Happy weekend.
Thank you, TheSuperNerd.
The list looks good.

what is Alhassan doing in that team list
why ignore Uche in crystal palace

Meliforme:
Give us the names of the players that should have been invited, but overlooked.

I'm one of Uche top advocate right from his time at Getafe but I think he doesn't deserve a call up over Alhassan. Is he better than Alhassan? Maybe but he has to start playing for C.palace. he doesn't even make cameo at c.palace anymore and it's worrying

The list is good enough to deliver the goods. It's on Chelle to come up with a good game plan. Good luck to the team and we d fans

Eric Chelle brought variety to his choice of wingers.
The fact is any of the invited wingers can start (with the exception Olakunle whom i don't know much about) depending on formation and game plan.
These wingers are not exactly the same.

Let's watch keenly at his game plan, his choice of wingers and the right complement of midfielders to support them.
He has the wingers for a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 setup, some will do better in a 4-3-3 than in 4-4-2.
White some will do better than others in a 4-4-2.

bros never make mistake of comparing uche to alhassan i beg, he got into that team cuz of mandatory northerner represented in that team
stop worrying about uche his time will come soon in Palace

You making a team most times doesn't mean you are the best, else Osimhen wouldn't have been at Galatasaray while Delap is at Chelsea.
Also, this Uche you are shouting about, this is just his second year of playing Pro football and this is what Alhassan has been doing for over 7 years. Playing in the US doesn't mean he is a bad player, there are players playing in the US and Asia that are still Integra part of their NT... Football has evolved. It's very possible that if Alhassan is at C.Palace, the coach will give him a starting shirt

I like the invitation of Olakunle due to his stamina and pace but the boy was a total hero football player during the U17 world cup. Very selfish and annoying. I just hope he has changed.

Their matter tire me, Alhassan that was a beast before moving to the US. Even though I think that move was a wrong move for him, the guy does have it in him and I can't remember him ever putting a foot wrong with the SE, even when he played at RB

I'm of the opinion that when we criticize an invite, we should mention which player should have been invited. Olakunle is a very fast winger, even though he gets his final decisions wrong most times, but which other pacy winger does the SE have now that should have been invited in place of Olakunle?

Turkey's Super Lig is 9th best ranked League in Europe by Uefa coefficients. So you see, outside the Top 5 Euro leagues, they complete the other 5.

HaUsa league is where your Man Utd manager was before he ended his playing career. grin Know the actual difference.

charlesemeka85:
but it remains Hausa league 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Uche is a very good player the coach would have included him. But when it comes to midfield play alhasan is a beast forget where he play. If you watch his games alhasan is everywhere in the pitch, if he's not tackling, is pressing to win possession. How many players have that kind of work rate . You guys don't see what the coach is seeing. In the case of olusegun, he's a very strong player. How many quality wingers are even doing well in Europe
