1. Yes. You can witthraw at anytime, however, if it's within the first 30 days, you will pay a penalty of 20% of the interest accrued on the amount your are withdrawing.

2. Interest start to accrue from the day of deposit if it was done before noon otherwise it starts the next biz day.
what of if I withdraw after 35 days?

Creditalerts:

first things first, if you invest your money in MMF, you can withdraw your money any time even if it's 1-day later.

Now they have a rule that says, you should leave your funds at least 30-days else whatever profit / interest that money has earned, they would take 20% of it.

Mind you, the 20% comes out of the profit, not the actual money you invested. they never touch the actual money.

Now you asked what if you take out the money after 35-days. Since 35-days, or even 31-days is more than 30-days, you would get your money + the full profit

A lot of them are that way. They just want a YES or NO. Not how to understand and think themselves. Some go call, ask questions and get offended when you explain much.

Although I quite agree with @Creditalerts on your response above. You for just tell am say the Dollar MMF is similar to the Naira MMF except so so and so and this and that. The plenty long grammar above fit make person get more confused than originally before asking said question.

One major reason for this thread is for knowledge impactation and for folks to be well guided and make informed investment decisons. I don't see anything long grammar for stating the features of an investment product. It's part of the ethics of the profession, an individual submission or sentiment should not make us change the rule.

Moreover we have more prospective investors who wish to know much about a product before investing than those who think otherwise.
It's always better to learn to earn.

I guess I am the only one using the legacy (FCMB) MMF. Their platform isn’t very consistent because they don’t update or upload accrued interest daily by 11 AM. I don’t know why.

yea there are times they do such mistakes BUT later corrects it. You na only 450,000 naira you see. You never see millions wey go make you shock.
Imagine make you fund account with 200,000 naira and expecting that being added to your account only to later find like 900,000 naira by 4pm. Funny enough, dem go still call you to confirm if you made such amount as topUp. if you like lie say...

pls explain this properly because withdrawals and daily interest payments are done in both
Re: Mutual Funds by jejet1:
Generate and download your account statement for the funds (both balanced and equity fund), and see the amount of total units you have. Then check the offer price (not bid price) at the date of investment. Multiply your units by the bid price to see if it's same as amount you invested. If not, then contact the customer service.

Your bid price at the date of purchase is the unit value of your investment.
