The Kebbi State Government has held a special interfaith prayer to seek divine intervention over prevailing security challenges plaguing the state.

The prayer session, held in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, brought together Islamic and Christian clerics from across the 21 local government areas of the state.

In his remarks, Governor Nasir Idris said there was need for continuous prayers to sustain peace, unity, and harmony in the state and the country at large.

“No state can claim to be 100 per cent peaceful now, the issue of security should not be politicised,” he said.

He added that those claiming that that there was no cordial relationship between Muslims and Christians in the state were only spreading falsehood.

“We are here together, Muslims and Christians, praying for divine intervention to overcome insecurity in our land,” he said.

The governor commended religious leaders and participants for coming together for the prayer and urged them to continue praying for peace, progress, and prosperity of Kebbi State and the nation.

The session, organised by the state Ministry of Religious Affairs, aimed to seek God’s mercy and intervention in addressing the lingering challenges of banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of insecurity confronting the nation.

Among those in attendance were the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; former Governor, Sa’idu Dakingari; and National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu.

Sheikh Abubakar Riba, Chairman of the State Council of Ulamas, and Revrend Femi Olofin, Vice Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), joined in leading intercessory prayers for lasting peace and stability in the state.

The occasion also featured Quranic recitation and special supplications by clerics for national unity, security, and divine protection of citizens.

Height of stupidity!

Still praying in 2025 to solve what God has given you the brains, knowledge and wisdom to address.

I have a strong feeling God is definitely disappointed in his creations. After giving us a brain, we still ask him for what our brains can fix.

The other day, one man of God and his congregation was praying for exchange rate 🤣😂🤣😂

People should just be happy I am not God. Cos I will be retrieving you lots back to heaven at that point you praying. Can’t spend my time creating someone with a brain and still turning out to be a disappointment.

Okay, let's all pay more in tax, cut government spending, cut civil service spending, spend more and more on security, cut civil service size, and also embark on a five year plan to become an industrial nation that produces goods for export, as well as removing subsides on power, cutting off those who cannot pay for power, jailing corrupt politcians for life, and cutting spending on naitonal assembly.


You guys will tell me I am agbero and blaming the people...so, prayers.
