Trump Violating International Treaties And We In North Aren't Going To Tolerate That—Northern Elders

According to a report by Punch on Saturday, November 8, 2025, The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF) has issued a blistering rebuke to President Donald Trump, vowing zero tolerance for American military threats as Washington escalates its campaign over alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH, NEF spokesperson Prof. Abubakar Jiddere fired point-blank: “Nigeria is not an appendage of America. Donald Trump is violating international treaties of the United Nations on the principle of non-interference in the domestic affairs of other countries. And we here in the North are not going to tolerate that.”

The professor’s broadside—echoing statements from the Arewa Consultative Forum and Miyetti Allah—comes as Trump doubles down on his November 1 Truth Social ultimatum, branding Nigeria a “disgraced country” and ordering Pentagon planners to prepare “fast and vicious” airstrikes or ground operations unless Abuja halts what he calls systematic slaughter of Christians.

Jiddere dismissed the genocide narrative as a dangerous fabrication designed to justify neo-colonial meddling, citing the UN Charter’s sacred principle of non-interference. “Any concern America has should come through diplomatic channels—not threats that echo Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and Sudan, where foreign boots left only chaos, corpses, and endless suffering,” he warned.

The NEF insisted Nigeria remains fully capable of resolving its security challenges internally, welcoming international partnership only on Abuja’s terms. “We are a sovereign nation of 220 million people—Muslim, Christian, traditionalist—united against external aggression,” Jiddere declared, hinting that northern youth and traditional institutions stand ready to resist any invasion.

The Northern Elders Forum is right. Nobody should be threatening to invade Nigeria.

Their mission is to reduce Christians in Nigeria. This is unacceptable

Of course Igbos are not happy that the middlebelt joined the Fulanis in war of annihilation against Igbos, but several Middlebelt groups have apologised to the Igbos for their part in the Igbo holocaust. They claimed they were not in the know of the high-level machinations of the islamists.
For that reason, we totally sympathise with the Middlebelt for their misfortune. In fact, quite a lot of them are enjoying their refuge in the east, as I write.
That is also why the Igbo networks in the USA are helping them amplify the genocide going on in the middlebelt.
