Nomyth:That record will soon be broken, especially now that semi-finalist play 2 extra matches - round of 32 and round of 16. |

Truidstarr:Sentiments aside on Monday Morning your office management should replace your and put someone more competent. Do you see how absurd you sound ?? You forgot it was the same Okoye every Nigerian wanted him D**d a few years ago Oh ye of short memories |

The truth is sentiments aside, I doubt Okoye is psychologically ready to be thrown in now. The Super Eagles Gloves are heavier than the Udinese gloves and he has been away for quite some time. Infact he avoided invites to cope at some point with the backlash received. Let him come from the bench, if at all needed. And that is only if Nwabali gets injured which I am sure none of you truly wishes. Truidstarr: |

You are right. In time it would. But hopefully not this year or next year. We have 2 lads on 4 goals so far though. I hope for it to be beaten by another Nigerian star by 2027. But hey, my personal wishes are not the future's scripts. We need to begin for the 2026 WafuB, make the 2027 U17 Afcon and then qualify for the WC Proper. 10 slots makes it way easier to qualify once we reach the afcon. mank1234: |

I think it is unfortunate and the offside rule for this kind of situation needs review. But for now, it is what it is. Remember the Semi Ajayi disallowed goal vs Cameroun at Afcon 2023 Round of 16. BankyGee: |

One thing I admire and revere about this current generation of super eagles players is the Camaraderie and fraternization mentality they possess . Watching them on Snapchat gives me enormous joy and excitement. Hope they transfer the off pitch brotherhood to on pitch success and victory for the country . After I read Sunday oliseh autobiography the old super eagles hated each other off the pitch so much but still managed to win. How ironic is that |

9JAMac10:Good point. They also report early to camp, on the average. The only thing lacking is the killer instinct - a 'we must always win spirit'. |

One of the keys to this match lies in the ability to control not only the game but also the midfield," Mouyouma explained at a press conference monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com. "I would be more focused on our ability to hold onto the ball, have more possession, not just possession for its own sake, but to dominate in our half of the field and progress together as a team." Mouyouma added that his side's tactical plan involves forcing Nigeria to chase the game and play out of their comfort zone. "It's because in possession, there's a phase where when the opponent does not have the ball, the opponent tends to get frustrated. It is important that we control the ball, that we control our opponent's emotions. "You have to dominate possession, you have to get the opponent to run after the ball and play behind their lines because in reality what this team wants to do with their players is to find spaces behind us. "We have to solve this problem - control of the game or almost all of the game into the opponent's half." With qualification on the line, Mouyouma made it clear that efficiency in front of goal would be decisive. "That brings us closer to their goal because, for this match, we only need to score one goal to qualify. "That is the tactical approach from the technical staff of the Gabonese national team." |
