To stand with the oppressed is to stand with Christ, but to deny their pain for personal or political gain is to stand against Him.

The litmus test remains simple and flawless.
Does the messenger uphold truth, righteousness, and compassion, or do they protect lies, privilege, and power?

For Femi Lazarus to stand on the pulpit and deny that there is genocide in Nigeria amounts to denying the pain Jesus went through on the cross.

When people are being killed and others look away, that’s not spirituality, that’s indifference. True Christianity doesn’t close its eyes to injustice and call it peace. Speaking up for the suffering is not being “engulfed in politics,” it’s following the example of Jesus, who confronted both religious and political hypocrisy in His time. If Satan blinds people today, it’s often by making them believe silence is holiness and neutrality is love. But love tells the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable.

The early Church didn’t run from evil; they challenged it with truth, love, and courage. Saying “don’t talk about injustice because it’s political” is exactly how evil continues unchallenged.

We are called to preach the Kingdom of God yes but that Kingdom also demands justice, mercy, and truth on the earth. Silence in the face of bloodshed doesn’t make us spiritual; it makes us complicit.

True Christians have a duty which is to preach and teach about God's Kingdom so when we see corruption, bloodshed and oppression we don't start talking about these things rather we leap for joy {Luke 21:28} because we know that these are signs Jesus foretold regarding the end of this system of things! Matthew 24:7-14 compare to 2Timothy 3:1-5
But why shouldn't we intervene?
Satan's trick is simple to dismantle any voice that is raised against the ongoing killing will be viewed as criticism against one human government in favor of another so whether you like it or not your so called fellow worshipers will call you opposition to the ruling party just as you are seeing now.
That's why true Christians don't say anything about what Satan and his agents are doing rather we focus on the preaching and teaching of God's Kingdom.
If you check yourself very well you will notice that in the past you've been supporting one candidate in the ongoing political struggle instead of remaining neutral.
Check my profile and see if i or any other member of Jehovah's Witnesses have been on the politics section whereas that's the section most people claiming believers do go to speak in support or against someone who is struggling for a political position.
