There's no scenario in which Osimhen should be on the bench. Absolutely none. Lookman, Chukwueze, Akor etc playing makes it even more imperative for Osimhen to play. It has never happened in football that a star player is deliberately kept on the bench as a matter of strategy based on what the opponent say they will do.
Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich, 2015-16 Bundesliga)

In a 2015-16 German Bundesliga game, Bayern Munich were down 1-0 against Wolfsburg when Pep Guardiola subbed in Robert Lewandowski for the second half.

Lewa scored a goal in the 51st minute, doubled his team's lead in the 52nd, and completed his hat-trick by the 55th. He made it four two minutes later, and five at the hour mark.

It took Lewandowski 9 minutes to score five goals, that's a goal every 1.8 minutes. The final score was Lewandowski 5-1 Wolfsburg. It is the fastest hat-trick, quadruple, and five-goal haul in Bundesliga history.

The way you guys are confidently and boldly prediction this high scores in favour of Nigeria. I honestly wish it turns out that way. Because I really don't see us winning by more than a narrow victory, 1 nil or 2-1 in Nigeria's favour. It's tempting to flatter using their last game against Benin. But if we are lucky to see a repeat of it again then it's confidence building.
lexyman:
I ve watched different highlights of Gabon matches , its seems they are not as good as what the paper make them look .... this match will end in 4-1 in Favour of Nigeria .... these Gabonese guys couldnt spring 2to 3 passes together . also a very bad defence ., not as bad as what Nwabali and Ekong made SE defence to look ... but in all ... SE is better off and we will be a very difficult nut to crack .

On paper and on the pitch, Nigeria is the stronger side. Gabon struggle with ball retention, defensive shape, and transitions — all things SE can punish them heavily.

You want to enjoy World Cup games at the expense of doing things correctly, the same thing over the years, ephemeral pleasure over lasting structures, if the players like they should forfeit I would support them wholeheartedly.

Infact I want that, what nonsense behavior, all this rubbish from NFF must stop.

See hotel you put our players.

If not playing this World Cup would finally bring level of sanity to our NFF, it would worth it

That was his own strategy based on what he wanted to do. He was being proactive. On the contrary, your suggestion is based off what the Gabonese coach intends to do. That's being reactive.

Like I said earlier: just because you and some folks don't know similar instances have occurred and can still recur does not make your opinions or antagonisms stand as facts or sensible.
Those listed above are evidences. Once more learn to disagree without being provocative: same applies to your folks.
Lastly do well to watch the YouTube videos and also comment on Guardiola's introduction of Lewandowski in that game as being outlandish or as one of your folks stupidly opined: ludicrous.

But these boys forget the playoffs was the consequence of their performance in the wcq, insisting for special bonuses on top a competition that was never budgeted for initially is an overreach.
You just don't know how you wan take defend them this time around.

Let's call a spade a spade and not to straddle the fence,
Even when they are fighting for what they believed is their right, what they did is disappointing and shameful.

They already aware of the kind of FA we have, why not secure the ticket first, there are so many other games coming up which they can use to demand for whatever they want, this world cup is too important to choose to play games with.

The problem with Nigeria is that NFF no good but the shocking but hard to admit fact is that those complaining and condemning NFF too are no good. Put them there, they will do the same thing!

So whatever NFF does really doesn't bother me if not that this touches on the players welfare. Any body who has followed naija football, knows that perenially this issues of ineptitude and corruption, of unpaid bonuses and scandals dogs every administration of the NFF which proves my point.
I was in Secondary school reading newspapers and the complaints were the same. Presidents come and go yet the same problem persist. Does this not tell us something about ourselves which we often don't like to admit - namely that it is we ourselves - you, me, everyone else, without exception - who are the problem of Nigeria?

Someone will soon come and counter me now by saying me oo, I'm not corrupt.
all this attempts to tag everyone corrupt just to
Justify incompetence is not it, a bad system and stinking structure can’t keep producing leaders, and you expect difference, mindset like yours are the issues, other countries have corruption too but their structures value competence.
Everyone is corrupt so let’s manage the status, that’s a lie, fix your structures and see if people will not fall in line and do the right thing.

Put same corrupt officials in a Chinese F.A that abhors corruption and value competence then let’s see if they will not adjust.

Before I sleep, let me just share the latest cos for us in Morocco, we are hearing different things & we have to put it out per time.

KEY POINTS;
- NFF are owing backlogs of unpaid allowances for years; Affecting both Present & past players/officials.

- The players didn't make any SPECIAL offer from the NFF, the offer came from the NFF even with a figure.

- The players are fighting for the new generation of players as they want the NFF to be responsible going forward.

- The fight is beyond unpaid allowances but for the future of football in Nigeria.

- I will update as I get more updates.
