Let him be capping nonsense, a police officer in the US will arrest a soldier in uniform or not if he was in the process of committing a crime or driving intoxicated. There are many videos on YouTube of soldiers in uniform being put in handcuffs, there is this Ghanian soldier in the US army when police was called to his House, thinking he was in Ghana refusing to cooperate, they threw him to the ground and pepper sprayed him before slapping handcuffs on him in uniform.

A traffic officer on the road turned back a semi truck full of soldiers on a road that drove one way against traffic. That truck had a machine gun of some sort hanging on its roof. The soldiers even came down apologized and begged the traffic police to let them pass but the traffic officer stood hia ground and turned them to go back and follow the other side.
Note that other side had a long grid lock of vehicles that were not fast moving....

I'm sure that will never happen in Nigeria!!!!!!

4. The FCT minister serves at the behest of the president. Why was he impeded from carrying out his lawful assignment?
5. It must be asked at this point, where do the loyalties of the navy lie? With the president? If so, how was a retired navy officer able to give instruction to a serving officer to deploy armed personnel to guard his property?

I am no means a Wike apologist. I think he is too crude and lacks tact but at a time when a rumoured coup was supposedly nipped in the bud, the Navy should not be seen to be answering to the demands of a retired official. Who is it that received that order and acted on it? Was this order carried out with the knowledge of the Chief of naval staff? If yes, that's condemnable. If no, then it calls into question his fitness for the job.

Heads need to roll for this. Wike needs to be sacked as well. He could have handled the matter better instead of embarrassing the president.

A retired 3star general (former CNS) is entitled to some serving officers as Aides for life as part of retirement benefits

In a civilized country, the FCT minister will get a court order before he steps foot on another man's property otherwise even a private citizen has the right to shoot him to death.

Now the court order will be executed by court beliefs and not the FCT ministers.

What you saw today was a case of intimidation gone wrong..because the officer told the chief of defense staff that they were not there on illegal duty.

At the point the CDS just comot him hand for the matter.

Only the President could have ordered those men to stand down. Wike is not in the chain of command.

Police cannot arrest army. There are procedures, the army have their own police, that arrest the army office. After a court martial, to dismiss the officer from the force, then the police can arrest him.

a working country will never take army above the police , if civilians have seen war crimes and atrocious behaviour and army brutality before, they will know police is better and even have Humans right department and monitoring units that check the excess of the police! In his statement, Sowore accused the military of abandoning its constitutional duty of defending the nation’s borders in favor of private interests. He wrote, “The military’s primary duty is to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity, yet it is now being used to guard a piece of land allegedly belonging to a senior officer, supposedly under ‘orders.’”

The activist further argued that the situation reflected a deeper issue of corruption and misplaced priorities within governance. According to him, “This incident illustrates how public officials often prioritize the interests of a privileged few over the collective security of the nation, and Minister @Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – CON, GSSRS is no exception.”

It calls for great concerns, if a retired naval officer could put on ground this number of serving officers to protect just one, out of his personal property at the expense of tax payers and national security, at a time when the nation security is deteriorating. I can see abuse of power here majorly from he retired naval chief.
