Nigeria has to train twice today to make up for the lack of training . Nigerians and drama are inseparable In all aspects of life including our football. Despite all this I still see Nigeria beating Gabon even if it ends up in penalty shootout haha |

Training for what? What they need is rest - a lot of it! Which they got today fortunately! Light training tomorrow and we are set! 9JAMac10: |

The Super Eagles will win in regulation time or at the very latest, Extra time. I dont see penalties unless we fail to take the several chances I know we will inevitably create. I doubt we would be that profligate. 9JAMac10: |

In all of this fiasco , Honestly, I feel bad for Eric Chelle if we fail to qualify .This man accepted the Nigeria job when things were at their worst — not because of money, but because he saw potential and wanted to make a name for himself. Now, after all his hard work, the NFF’s lack of communication and integrity is about to ruin everything. It’s sad to watch dedication meet disorganization. |

In light of the recent events going on in Rabat, I think its safe to say that our FIFA World Cup qualification campaign is, for all intents and purposes, dead. The endemic rot within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reared it's ugly head again where it mattered most. Unless a miracle happens over the next few days, I would advise you all to just focus on the upcoming AFCON (which I'm doubtful we'll even perform well in). The NFF may yet scramble a frantic, last-minute negotiation to get the players back onto the pitch, but the damage done is irreversible. The wound inflicted upon the team’s psychology, focus, and tactical readiness cannot be stitched up with a single bank transfer. The integrity of this preparation cycle has been shattered just before the highest-stakes match of their careers. If you're still thinking these players will perform, you're living in lalaland. Of course, this is assuming the match will even be played as the situation seems to be getting even worse every minute. Football at the elite level is a game of marginal gains. In a mini-tournament with a sudden-death structure, the loss of even ONE training session is catastrophic. Specialized tactical drills, pressing transitions, fine-tuning of set-piece routines etc, these are not things we can perfect in just under 24 hours. At this point, any immediate payment solution is only for the team to show up physically. It will not restore the lost rhythm, or the crucial collective muscle memory that we need now of all times. In high-stakes knockout football, tactical preparation lost 48 hours before kick-off is lost forever. Sadly, this boycott won't accomplish much in the long run. No immediate, emergency payment can restore credibility. The NFF has already perfected a poisonous operational cycle: delay payment until the last possible moment, force the players into industrial action, resolve the crisis with a rush of emergency funds, and then retreat back into systemic delinquency until the next high-stakes tournament forces a repeat performance. People who've watched Nigerian football since the 90s can attest to this. Decisive structural action must be taken. A random boycott won't accomplish anything tangible in the long run. There should be no more quick fix negotiations. We must drastically restructure the NFF by any means. Gusau, Eguavoen, and the rest of those charlatans - their days are numbered. |

I have this feeling the recent uproar over the 1.2million dollar kebbi stadium saga was what also contributed toward the players action... This is a nice example of Monkey dey work, Baboon dey chop |

Super eagles will play for the fans and for the love of the game on thursday….this is the best time to play Gabon…protest or no protest just see how Osimhen will be hunting for every ball, watch how Benjamin Frederick and Bassey will be breathing fire, watch how Iwobi will b splitting everywhere with passes…The spirit dying Lookman will shock everyone on thursday , Chukwueze/Simon/Ejuke will take defenders to cleaners on friday…..this protest does not and wont relate to their onfield display…..you think they don’t wanna qualify for the worldcup….its just like the average Nigerian who prefer to live and enjoy life abroad, but would wish to be buried in his land when he d!es. The super eagles players will d!e for the badge and for the fans but you must pay us our money SIMPLE🔥 |

Mujtahida:😂 we never even recover from the dampen morale during wcq this one come happen. I guess there may be more drama during Afcon. The players are not serious jare, we can blame nff till tomorrow but I think it’s also not compulsory to honour invitation for your country if you feel you aren’t valued enough. Just pick one side |

Napoleon55:I’ve never been a defender of the players o except am being misled. This one in particular is a disgrace and for the first time I think Ekong is not a good captain. I had thought being a foreign born there would be some Behind approach to issues like this but alas e no different from the agbero generation of dem oliseh and taribo west. There are new players in this team who were not even in Afcon see the bad things they are teaching them now |

Goke7:I just weak. This thing is one of those things one wishes it never happened cos it's hard to pass judgment. NFF has been owing them from what I hear since 2019. If it's true then, haba haba |

Honestly I've been thinking how to express my thoughts towards the team since yesterday after the news of them boycotting training broke. First the present NFF board has to go no matter the outcome of the qualifiers or AFCON. The FG in one way or the other has to get involved in how the new set of people will be elected into the glass house without incurring the wrath of FIFA. How that will be accomplished I don't know but where there's a will there's a way. As for the players I don't know who advised them to take this line of action now. You can fight for the right cause but at the wrong time. They haven't qualified for the WC which would have given them better bargaining power but have allowed this distraction to very potentially torpedo their WC participation ambitions. If they don't make it they are the ultimate losers. Administrators come and go but ultimately players make their own legacy. Atlanta 1996 was a sh**show in terms of preparation and renumeration but their determination to succeed cemented their place in the history of Nigerian sports and global forums. The players could have made their point at the AFCON or even next year before the final stage of the WC qualifiers where to all intents and purposes they are 70% sure of going through. If the players had this intent they should have just rejected the invitation for the upcoming games instead of wasting everybody's time. A lot of us who invest our time and emotions in this team without getting a dime deserve better from the administrators and players. Truth be told I'm really contemplating whether I should bother watching tomorrow's game (If the players even show up). I'm of the firm belief that this shall pass and Nigeria will achieve it's potential of becoming a truly great footballing nation. |

Mujtahida:Just like you said it’s a Nigerian problem and I think by now every Nigerian sport athlete need to make up their mind if they want to represent the country or not. There’s no point having so much passion or dying to want to be given the opportunity or platform to represent the country and later come up with drama like this. The funny thing is that some of these players today will still end up being part of the nff tomorrow and still nothing will change after all the likes of ikpeba and other ex players are in the nff so for me individuals should make up their mind what they really want. We are just used to blame games as Nigerians when we are just who we are 😂 |

Honestly it hurts deeply because they don't appreciate the potential joy they will bring to millions but their shortsightedness has cost them. Mikel has his faults but he knew when to do aluta and when to focus on the bigger picture. Just sad all round. Goke7: |
