😂 we never even recover from the dampen morale during wcq this one come happen. I guess there may be more drama during Afcon. The players are not serious jare, we can blame nff till tomorrow but I think it’s also not compulsory to honour invitation for your country if you feel you aren’t valued enough. Just pick one side
I just weak. This thing is one of those things one wishes it never happened

My brother I really don't care what you choose to believe. If you seriously think the NFA during the military regime was a competent institution devoid of mismanagement issues, then carry on believing that. It's a free world afterall. I gain nothing here by wasting my time pointing out obvious banalities to you. Reality is a different ball game however, and as long as we continue denying reality in and of itself, we'll continue to lament forever and ever.

Out of all the things you saw in the post I quoted, including the attached screenshot, the only thing you saw to bash was the Denmark vs Nigeria game. And you expect me to go back and forth with you about the structural inefficiencies of the NFF. grin
Still nothing relevant to my questions.

Good day

I read now on Charles Anazodo's X handle that it's not true that they are being owed allowances since 2019. That what is owed is the WCQ allowances.

Just like you said it’s a Nigerian problem and I think by now every Nigerian sport athlete need to make up their mind if they want to represent the country or not. There’s no point having so much passion or dying to want to be given the opportunity or platform to represent the country and later come up with drama like this. The funny thing is that some of these players today will still end up being part of the nff tomorrow and still nothing will change after all the likes of ikpeba and other ex players are in the nff so for me individuals should make up their mind what they really want. We are just used to blame games as Nigerians when we are just who we are 😂
This is a bad omen. Whenever we have had such issues we go on to lose. Kai. This thing ought not to have come up. At least not now

In light of the recent events going on in Rabat, I think its safe to say that our FIFA World Cup qualification campaign is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

The endemic rot within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reared it's ugly head again where it mattered most. Unless a miracle happens over the next few days, I would advise you all to just focus on the upcoming AFCON (which I'm doubtful we'll even perform well in).

The NFF may yet scramble a frantic, last-minute negotiation to get the players back onto the pitch, but the damage done is irreversible. The wound inflicted upon the team’s psychology, focus, and tactical readiness cannot be stitched up with a single bank transfer. The integrity of this preparation cycle has been shattered just before the highest-stakes match of their careers. If you're still thinking these players will perform, you're living in lalaland. Of course, this is assuming the match will even be played as the situation seems to be getting even worse every minute.

Football at the elite level is a game of marginal gains. In a mini-tournament with a sudden-death structure, the loss of even ONE training session is catastrophic. Specialized tactical drills, pressing transitions, fine-tuning of set-piece routines etc, these are not things we can perfect in just under 24 hours. At this point, any immediate payment solution is only for the team to show up physically. It will not restore the lost rhythm, or the crucial collective muscle memory that we need now of all times. In high-stakes knockout football, tactical preparation lost 48 hours before kick-off is lost forever.

Sadly, this boycott won't accomplish much in the long run. No immediate, emergency payment can restore credibility. The NFF has already perfected a poisonous operational cycle: delay payment until the last possible moment, force the players into industrial action, resolve the crisis with a rush of emergency funds, and then retreat back into systemic delinquency until the next high-stakes tournament forces a repeat performance.

People who've watched Nigerian football since the 90s can attest to this.

Decisive structural action must be taken. A random boycott won't accomplish anything tangible in the long run. There should be no more quick fix negotiations. We must drastically restructure the NFF by any means. Gusau, Eguavoen, and the rest of those charlatans - their days are numbered.
We will flog Gabon tomorrow, they won't know what hit them..
These players are more united than ever
You'll see it play out tomorrow

It's just that we are not capable of such finesse and subtlety, I would have said that this whole thing is planned to throw Gabon off the track. But we are incapable of such psychological ploys. We no sabi

This is the reason the NFF always want Musa around as the captain. He is their puppet and their yes man. They always want people that they can control. I love the actions the boys are taking. NFF must vomit that money they have stolen otherwise no world cup, because if the boys go to the world cup, that would also be another big avenue for the NFF to steal more money.

"Unity" is doing a lot of heavy-lifting here. Sources say the coaching staff and a few of the players are against the boycotting. I'm curious who those players are though.

Been watching a lot of Gabon qualifying matches. They are just there.

Nothing extraordinary...

I still give them 3-0

All these NFF vs Players to me na Tactics. If Gabon like make them sleep.

Nobody wants the World cup tickets more than the players themselves. So I don't believe they will scuttle this God sent opportunity...

Still on 3-0

According to Godwin, the referees won't be change.

It is well.
Let start preparing for Afcon n 2030/WC.

If we qualify for this play off. It is just by grace of God.
One thing the players should understand NFF are rogue, they don't give a shit about them... Also whenever you are playing fir national team just know you are doing charity. Just pity those underage teams...

Things are not work well in Nigeria.

Where is the picture.

It is looking like they won't train today. NFF better start looking for npfl players to represent them and lose woefully....

Or we have walkover tomorrow.

This is so painful but we move... Another disappointing moment for most fans... We move. The players should boycott the afcon too

This is so crazy. The players should have done this for the badge and players....

some were saying the timing was wrong , some said the timing was right ... i remembered that similar thing happened in 2014 ... at the world cup before SE VS France , the guys boycotted the training in similar way ... NFF should stop disgracing Nigeria , the boys deserved to be paid . they earned the pay . and everyone should respect their decisions . if that is the only way to get paid , i will support their decision . but they should also remember that their fan s are getting hurt and NFF is the root cause of this evil .

#NFFrespectsupereaglesfan.

More importantly, when have boycotts and protests ever led to systemic, long-lasting solutions in Nigeria? And I'm not talking of quick, temporary policies or fixes that postpone the crisis to a later date.

As far as I'm concerned, this WC ticket is gone, and so is our AFCON title. People won't realize how serious this current issue is now, but I'll be back to say I told you so.
