I see stuff like these and the one that happened with wike as a major security gap that needs to be addressed immediately.

Every security apparatus in a state shd take orders from the state government not the FG as the state governor is the chief security officer of his state.

Does every security apparatus include the military?
It wouldn't make sense.

That's why state policing will go a long way.
But governors don't need to control more than police, road safety and civil defense.

We have more foolish governors than sensible ones.

I love he CSP for not revealing the number of men he has on his side. The governor wanted to know so he will know if he and his security details can outnumber and overpower them like they did to that "one way soldier"

We have such military but they can't maintain law and other in the North.
Many keep betraying there colleagues and country but they are still in the military.
Before a building is constructed documentation and approval need come first.
If that has happened then there wouldn't be any confrontation

The police was far more polite and respectful compared to the soldier.

Wike is a drunk, so decorum doesn't exist in his dictionary. But I love what he got from that incident.

The lesson here is that whatsoever one is doing, wisdom and decorum should be applied. Respect for others is a sure way to earn it from others.

Obviously, Sanwo Olu handled it way better than Wike. It should have even gotten to that level sef but Sanwo is more of a man than Wike.

Minister doesn't have power over our security agencies..it is only the president who has total authority to override protocol of superiors because he is commander in chief of Arm forces...the power reside in him only for the period he holds the office

If you must know all the military service chiefs report to a minister who is a civilian who is on the same level as the FCT minister therefore by extrapolation it means that the FCT minister is ranked higher than all the military service chiefs.

I'm any country where things are done right everyone knows that military protocols only reside in military barracks but here in Nigeria ignorant people such as you think it's the military that should run the show.

Go and equip yourself with information and stop coming here to expose your ignorance!

It was not Woke that was embarrassed, it was the office of the FCT minister.

Unfortunately most of you are so small minded that you cannot see beyond your noses to know that this matter has wide implications for government officials carrying out their duties.

For instance if the police receive a report that a building is being used as a base for kidnapping or baby factory and they go there to investigate the perpetrators will mount military officers at the entrance and they will claim they given orders by a senior officer not to let government officials in.
