Iwobi does this loosing of ball in dangerous areas I hate so much, that’s why I don’t like the Ndidi and Iwobi partnership at all, we need an extra midfielder, osimhen should stay up, he keeps dropping to midfield because we need an extra body.

Now we can’t penetrate or make any good goal scoring opportunities.
Please I no dey watch, who is the main culprit wasting our chances abeg?

Some observations from the first half

1. Akor shouldn't have started. We would have been better off with an extra leg in midfield, say Onyedika, giving Iwobi more license to be involved forward
2. While we have improved a lot in our passing game, we were getting a little more showy
3. Osimhen would have at least had 2 goals now, but for poor balance and good goalkeeping from Gabon
4. Our defense is solid but will still need to be careful with counters.

This Gabonese team did their home work on Osimhen and Nigeria's attacking style but there're still lapses in their defence, especially as their no 5 defender couldn't really cage Osimhen. The super eagles should score in the second half...From the look of it, Osimhen should be able to score a header in the second half... Besides the Gabonese attack sef no tight.

The coach should change to a 4-3-3 0r 4-5-1 formation and sub Akor Adams and bring in Onyedika.

Both teams are very cautious, Ndidi might be removed cos of the yellow card. Simeon to come in second half to do the magic.

We played well. Best first 45 minutes we played all through the WCQ. Unfortunate not to be two goals up.

45 more minutes to go. I'm optimistic we'll score and win

Akor has justified his start despite me preferring another midfielder.

The problem is Lookman looks like he may pull something off in this game, but at the same time we need Moses. How do we solve this problem? I've not seen crosses from Chukwueze

Take off Lookman and bring in Onyedika. Need more stability in the midfield.

With Ndidi on a yellow he needs more support on the defensive side of things.

We just need to take our chances. On another day this match is at least 2-0
