That boy is so well grounded in the rudiments of the game. So lovely to watch. Bassey is a mainstay, by the way. He , Bassey has become the boss in that back line! Honestly, I love Benjamin and Bassey's combination. Their combination is full of harmony
The best thing I like about his game is that he is a proper ball playing CB...that's one of the attributes Ekong has been lacking all his career...He will go far..
I'm excited for him..

He and Ndidi brilliant.

But a defender can't win my MOTM in such a game where Gabon had 4 shots in 140 minutes and Nwabali only made his first save in the 119th minute.
Gabon had no attack whatsoever.

This was an attackers game and Ejuke even before his goal added the much needed bite that gave us the impetus to go at Gabon.

Created the best chance of the game in regular time and scored the goal that kickstarted the rout. Did more than both Lookman and Samuel combined.
Ndidi was colossal in our midfield

He is trying. But certainly not wonders -- Yet!
He’s doing wonders with the boys. If not for the missed chances in the first half. We could have seen a big score line like the Benin match in 90mins. We play and dominate matches under him and we also create loads of chances.

He has done wonders based on where we are coming from. Same eagles that was struggling anyhow, we believe we can win any match this days unlike before

Some people are not serious, always looking for a misstep of a player to make themselves happy.

Imagine someone saying Osimhen lacks football sense but only know how to score before he finally disappointed them.
BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!

A sweet win but I still see the Eric Chelle is still sorting out his set up. We still have lots of work to do with our transition from midfield to attack, especially when dealing with a compact midfield.

I give him props with what he is doing with Ndidi but he needs to really work hard in building a more fluid midfield players.

I hope with time he switches to a more rich midfield set up.
Lets no pretend like we dont know where the lapses is coming from in the midfield. Iwobi is a liability there. Our forward is complete, defense complete but the creativity needed in the midfield is lacking. That's our weakest point

Whoever said this about Osimhen has a point but it doesn't take anything away from Osimhen

This is definitely one of Ndidi's best games in the super eagles....

It's unfortunate he will miss the final

Captain's performance. Once Onyeka took burden of defence from him, he bombed forward to handle business himself.

Benjamin Fredrick is going to be a star!
So composed and confident on the ball...
Plus he appears to be cool headed and disciplined..

It's just a matter of time before a big team snap him up or Brentford integrate him into their first team....
Either way, I'm glad we have him and Bassey ..solid CB partnership...

It's the full back position we should worry about now...
I think Zaidu did excellently well today

Up there in my memories of the Super Eagles is the smile and open arms of Ejuke after he scored.

He handles the ball with calm and confident. Almost devoid of mistakes. Well, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for our dear Super Eagles. Once more, I could actually dream of better days

The kind of disrespect I saw on Osimhen's name at 1-1,I was wondering if he was the person that scored 4 goals to get us to this stage, humans never change

Bassey na confirm iron gate. Bobo is already playing like a veteran in the heart of our defence at his young age

His combo with Fredrick will serve the national team for a long time

Pepe and Ramos type of combo, but less brutal 😁

I hope Eric Chelle will just Give us Ejuke (LW) and Chukwueze as (RW) on Sunday. These two are ball playing wingers that easily drops into middle against low blocking teams, also dangerous at 1v1.
Bench Lookman and Moses Simon for me.

For this kind of system where the two wingers invert like Chukwueze and Lookman did, you need a playmaker, and Iwobi is the only one we got.
But he was very poor today, misplaced all his passes.

The only counter to this is for wingers to stay wide like Simon and Ejuke did in second half, then can bench Iwobi for a box-to-box like Onyeka.

Iwobi has been poor for a while though, but quality is timeless.
