Lookman's lack of sharpness is hard to watch.

Was watching him get into great positions in the 1st half but his poor decision making or lack of edge really dulled our attacks effectiveness in those first couple of minutes that we were untop.

Sunday will be another physical game DR Congo or Cameroon will definitely bring the pain but I'm hopeful we can do it God willing.

mrwilliams9:
Good win but our midfield will need to improve in the final.

I think we are better off dropping Lookman for Onyeka. Onyedika will need to start since Ndidi is suspended for the final.

Start off more solid and if need be, get more attacking later. My proposed formation:

Osayi
Fredrick
Bassey
Sanusi

Onyeka
Onyedika
Iwobi

Chukwueze
Osimhen
Simon

Nwabali the biggest regret from this defeat. A very egoistic player that likes to be the centre of attention.

Time bomb waiting to happen
VDM don open case ontop Nwabali.

He should be very careful, everyone can see him for who he is already.

Make e no go cost us on Sunday or at the intercontinental match later on.

Truth is that you have a unique view. You see what most of us don't see. But Nwakali no join oo 😂😂
Nwakali has not really given a chance to show how important he is to the team.

SA has returned the favor.

Lets no pretend like we dont know where the lapses is coming from in the midfield. Iwobi is a liability there. Our forward is complete, defense complete but the creativity needed in the midfield is lacking. That's our weakest point

Whoever said this about Osimhen has a point but it doesn't take anything away from Osimhen
Iwobi did so well for the first 40 mins.

Let's not forget he's not a 90 mins player.

He is the most technical midfielder that we have for now.
I prefer him to Eberechi Eze, that's all I can say for now.
Stop saying rubbish

Ejuke made defensive mistake by not tracking back
He corrected his error by scoring most important goal number 2

Since 2015 till date we’ve never had a better midfielder than iwobi

We’ve never had a more criticized player than iwobi,
Never injured always available, everyone who we taught could replace him has come and gone and he’s still a undisputed starter and important role player for us

Keep your criticism to yourself

Ref got it right. It would have been a weak PK to give.

This is World cup qualifying, the bar for an infraction has to be very high.

If this was an FA cup match or GS in UCL that may be given.
Baba. You are wrong that was a clear penalty,we were lucky o

Anything can happen, but in reality we outclassed Gabon.
The Gabonese played out their hearts.

We actually have a very good forward line.

Skillset of a world class player

Mentality of a John O’Shea

Lookman is weak. The drop off from last year is massive and he’s not doing himself any favors club wise either

There is a part of Ndidi we need to exploit more. Ndidi playing behind the strikers ahead of Onyeka.
Yaya Toure things?

Or Pirlo things?

Maybe Xavi stuffs?

Moses Simon is very good, especially when played closer to the box.

My only anger is that this game went into extra time. Killing the game in 90 mins would have afforded us more time to rest for the finals.
But morale will be sky high with the four sweet goals!

I'm not watching the Cameroon vs DRC game but parsing the comments here, it seems like they're playing secondary school football - 100% physicality, 0% actual gameplay.

The hype seems borne out of ingesting fermented kunu mixed with pastis. Too much nonsense in the name of scouting for a great midfielder.
When some of us called for the re-introduction of Ejuke some wacked fellas branded him primary school dribbler alas today he has proven them wrong.
Akinsanmiro will not bench anyone in the current midfield setup not even Alhassan on a bad day.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:19pm On Nov 13, 2025
Osimhen needs to study Zlatan Ibrahimovic a lot to understand elite level finishing. In tougher games, it will be criminal to miss such chances. The key lies in making early decisions.
