stuffs2002:I will repeat: Lieutenant Ahmed Yerima was following orders, that is his job. He was not sent there to play property lawyer or adjudicate land disputes. Expecting him to question the legality of every instruction he receives is naive at best, insubordination at worst. The Ex-CNS may have abused influence to get personnel deployed, but that does not make the lieutenant guilty of wrongdoing. Military duty is about execution, not judgment, and confusing the two is a civilian mistake that keeps getting repeated. The military operates under a different legal framework from civilians. Active-duty personnel are primarily governed by military codes, such as the Armed Forces Act in Nigeria. Ahmed Yerima was on active duty, following orders from a superior was exactly what he was required to do. Let us use an analogy: imagine you were a child, and your father or mother told you not to let anyone into the house when they were not around. Now suppose a property lawyer shows up to check the property. Would you just let the person in because they claim to be the lawyer? An obedient child would not. The parent gave clear instructions, do not let anyone in. The child does not concern themselves with whether the building is leased or owned, or whether the lawyer is doing their job. All the child knows is that it is the parent's house, and no one is allowed inside without permission. Lieutenant Ahmed Yerima did exactly what he was supposed to. |

99thEnemy:So in other words, the The Ex-CNS could give an order for Lieutenant Ahmed Yerima to enter your house and sleep with your daughter. After all, he must obey all orders. I no even know how some of una dey think. This issue can only be resolved in a court of law because:- 1) The Ex-CNS cannot give any order as his is now 100% civilian 2) The issue is not a military case and he cannot use military to resolve it as the constitution is very clear on it. 3) The Ex-CNS abused his privileges by using federal government time (using a serving military personnel) to pursue private issues |

Kukutente23:Let us pardon ur ignorance, quite obvious say u never buy land b4? First the land was allocated for public use by the government for recreation & park purposes, not for residential or commercial purposes. The prior owner applied for the Minister’s consent for it to be converted, it was rejected by the prior minister of The FCT, notwithstanding he went & sold it to the former general who started constructing whatever he was building on it, thereby violating the terms of the right of occupancy. |

Burob:Lool The clown said I've not bought land before So you that you've bought land before is unaware that land bought can be resold? What are the terms of the right of occupancy Did you even read where Lere said they have reallocated it from parks and recreation to public and commercial building So if the ex-CNS is building a plaza there it is still violating the right of occupancy abi You nor just wan get sense. Ba sense sam sam |

99thEnemy:Is the land he was sent to purportedly protect military property? Are u not aware that under The Land Use Act, that all land in Abuja belongs to the Minister who has all powers under the law? Las las the general will appeal to Wike, & they will sort him out, all na paddy paddy government. |

Kukutente23:So u in that your small boys quarters knows more than the Minister of the FCT, who under the Land Use Act is the custodian of all land in Abuja abi? |

Kukutente23:Please go back & read it again, instead of believing the lies in your imagination. Olayinka recounted how the land was allocated in 2007 to one Santos Estate Limited for park and recreation purposes. He said the company did not develop the land because it was designated as a parkway and walkway. Olayinka said in 2022, Santos Estate Limited requested the FCT to convert the land’s use to commercial use, adding that the then minister of FCT refused to approve the conversion. He said following refusal, the company allegedly began partitioning and selling the land, including to the former naval chief. “That particular company was allocated in 2007 to Santos Estate limited for park and recreation. The company did not do anything on the land because that place is a parkway, a walkway,” he said. “In 2022, the company wrote to the FCTA to convert the purpose to commercial. Probably in anticipation of the minister’s approval for conversion. The man started to partition the land and sold it to people, including the formal chief of naval staff. “I want to say the former chief of naval staff was scammed and he has realized he was scammed. Instead of him coming out to seek help, he now resorted to using military might. “In 2022, the minister of FCT declined the request for conversion but the man had already sold the land by then. Wike wasn’t the minister then. |

Burob:Well, that is a civil matter, which is not the concern of the Lieutenant on active duty. The sooner one understands this distinction, the better one can make sense of the situation. |

AndroBlaze:I think one of the most craziest places to own a land is the FCT, one moment you're safe another moment them don mark your building If such impunity can be going on under the nose of the president, then big wahala dey ik |

99thEnemy:See as u dey contradict yourself, isn’t guarding private property a civil matter? By the way if u are not aware, active duty for a navy personnel na on top water, not land. Let alone activity on land owned by private citizen. |
| Re: Ex-Naval Chief, Vice Admiral Gambo Was Scammed — Lere Olayinka by 99thEnemy(m): 6:08pm On Nov 13, 2025 |
Burob:No contradiction, you just didn't comprehend. For instance, if the Military or Police is asked to stop protesters from protesting, does it concern them if the so protesters are protesting for a right cause or not? Edit: By the way if u are not aware, active duty for a navy personnel na on top water, not land. Then the Airmen in the Airforce should also stay solely in the air too, and also, no military JTF should exist then. No offence, but what is your level of education? ![]() |

99thEnemy:See yourself, there is no assumption here, we are dealing with facts, matter of land in relation with the provisions of The Land Use Act which is enshrined in section 315(5) & (6) of the constitution 1999 As Amended. Under the law Nyesom Wike like the Governor of a state is the person in which all land in the state is vested in, in this instance Nyesom Wike as Minister of The FCT. I am not arguing on your own level of knowledge, in this matter dealing with land in The FCT, Nyesom Wike cannot be wrong, he has the final say. So your talk talk, or assumptions or analogy are all worthless. |

Kukutente23:Ok assuming but not conceding that he said so, it is still Nyesom Wike that must approve it abi? so if the man meant to approve it says nothing like that, why are u here whining & complaining? We know u no get logical explanation, u hate Nyesom Wike, so anything he does, automatically without even reasoning m, u must be against it. |

Burob:You don't seem to have a good command of English Lere speaks for Wike and he's telling you that Wike has re-desgnated the land. What is obvious is they did that for their own benefit. Now realising that the CNS will benefit they are claiming he was scammed because he has no land document. How can you say he bought the land from the original owners but still insist he was scammed? Make it make sense |

AMINDA:^^^ Now this is an argument that all right thinking people can get behind. The only problem is that Wike's principal will not do anything about these loud complaints, and our institutions are dead or dying. But Nigerians must continue to fight that battle. The answer does not lie in encouraging impunity by soldiers, retired or serving. |
