Mali will be looking at Eric Chelle and be wondering why they ever let him go.

Who else saw the big hug Iwobi gave Chelle yesterday?

The way we take find Benjamin, abeg may we go find three solid, technically sharp, ball carrying, playmaking midfielders
That Nengi boy no good?
Where's this guy that partnered Ben at the WC sef

even if the team qualifies for the World Cup instead of Tosin to smell that World Cup with the team mk we carry cb from npfl
Wow..
Oga Charles, so good to see we're now on the same page. From my own POV, Cryuff already did justice with his famous quote, 'if you think twice about about playing for Barcelona, you don't deserve to play for Barcelona' or how did he say it. grin grin

Abeg make Chelle play a 4-3-3 or even 4-5-1 in the next match, it will benefit Iwobi and Osimhen more

By the time Bassey's done with this team the whole squad will be sagging

I was marveled by those deft touches happening in the 1st half in the midfield and instantly reckoned it couldn't be Iwobi playing those passes. I knew it had to be Chukwueze or Lookman....lol
Reckoned wetin, you no go calm down? Iwobi was like the best player in the first half and was responsible for spreading most of those forward passes. Lofted a ball for Osimhen that the keeper saved as well.

He plays two man so that Osimhen can have one less defender to contend with

Osimhen had five shots in the first half alone.

Nobody is talking about Ndidi performance yesterday. You can see why the coach still put is faith on him, he's the best defensive midfielder in the team.

Excellent tactics.

Pls Osayi should not start our next match.

Imagine if the referee had given the Panthers, a PK as a result of that shove by Osayi.

The deflection that led to the equaliser, was also from him.

His defending leaves a lot to be desired.
I swear, and he's good o, but omo he doesn't inspire confidence to me like Zaidu or Benjamin.

That Gabon goal, it was his clearance back to the Gabonese that gave them that second shot + his deflection.

If Nwabali seff dey active, he for save that thing, even with the deflection.

Chief
Osimhen had an off day, nothing more
He has scored these kinds of goals many times..
It happens to every striker

We only thank God he had extra time to redeem himself..
It's not about improving
He scores these exact kinds of goals on a regular..

Go watch Al Nassr, and see the kinds of goals Ronaldo misses, yet we all agree he's an elite goal scorer..

Cut Osimhen some slack
It was just an off 90 minutes

That is not saying he cannot improve,
No striker is the perfect article..
I believe this match showed a different side to Osimhen.. his mentality..

Any other striker would have dropped his shoulders and lost confidence, but not Osimhen..
It shows that when things are challenging, Osimhen wouldn't cower or hide, he would face it head on and fight!

Stay with that and drop all this " improvement" talk for now..
Abi no be Ronaldo and Portugal lose to Ireland yesterday?

Everytime improvement, improvement, improvement. For a striker that's topping the bloody UCL goalscoring charts.

This guy own criticism no dey ever seem genuine. He always looks for Osimhen to make an error to justify his improvement chant. Osimhen paste two for extra time he no come talk again o, for person wey need improve him finishing.

Osimhen was just off yesterday, abi no be the same Osimhen we dribble round Bodøe Glimt Goalkeeper for UCL? Or better still the Göztepe match wey he entirely DELETE the keeper even in a tighter spot than yesterday?

Awaziem deserves his flowers for that pass
That was a beauty to be hold.👌

Odunayaw:
In the interview I just watched he said he asked his teammates if it's straight to penalties, when they told him there was extra time he said he was sorry and he will correct it. Correct it he did!

Elite mentality
This is worrying though. How come most of these players don't know the key details of a match before the game day?

Who's in charge of communicating these important messages to them?

Today, Osimhen wasn't aware there would be an extra time after a full time draw, while in the game against Benin last month, they didn't know we had to score 4 goals to stand a chance at the playoffs. This showed why Nwabali was wasting time after our third goal. 🙄

We need to do better in this regard.

Anytime Nigeria wins, it takes me a week to recover. I don't have club oo. And I don't watch club football like that. Super Eagles na im be my club.
Lol. Same here. 😂😂😂

I only watch for EPL for the banter and drama, but you see that emotional attachment, I no get am with any club at all. I've flip-flopped between Chelsea (because of Mourinho), and Man U (because of Ferguson) so many times in the past, right now I can't say I'm 100% for either side. If I'm supporting any club now, it'll likely be Fulham because our boys choke for there. 😂

Isn't it nice that on a day it didn't quite come off for Osimhen initially, other players could score??

Chelle is doing a great work with this team!!

GIVE HIM A 5 YR CONTRACT!!
Super Eagles + Chelle will be a serious problem in 2-3 years time. 🤧

It's very rear for a keeper to save deflecting shot but am seeing Nwabali losing his position to Okoye

His antics are too much, worrisome and horror. Nwabali fit kee who no get strong health.

And I swear, I love his physique, demeanor and aura, everything a goalkeeper need to have to intimidate opponents, he still has good abilities BUT BUT BUT it's sad he wants to use small avoidable antics to spoil his national team career.

What was the result of Cameroon Vs DRC
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by lexyman(m): 8:23am On Nov 14, 2025
our team is becoming solid everyday , the SE now have a reliable depth , the match was won from the bench , that is a good thing to happen to our football .... DRC is another team to crack , they are physical , strong and can run .... i think Gabon is more tactical than them . Chelle should have the key to unlock that physicality , i still prefer them to Cameroon .

Everything is alligning well...

This qualification route is funny, stressful and all drama but will be a blessing to us....

I love winning, see as everywhere sweet...

Did he dribble to score the goal? I am talking about his end product dribbles. Not his goal.

A player can be good at scoring goals but porous in decision making. That's the difference.
Go and rematch the match oga

Some one dribble to make reasonable assists and even scored you're talking about his end product been a suspect

Did you know – Amas Obasogie got a yellow in this match on the bench?
Nice one for Him.
Since he is not playing at least he made himself useful by getting that card.

Now he reminds us he is still there🤣😂
