We use the best of what's available to us irrespective of where they play.

Bye
And your best are always abroad…

FIFA should consider limiting the number of diaspora or binational players a national team can field. Take Nigeria, for example—its local league struggles to produce top-tier talent, yet the national team often relies heavily on players developed abroad.

This is cheating in my opinion

Bye

Odunayaw:
False.
Ejuke has nothing to do with that error.
Osayi na otu but that goal was on Ejuke. Lemina had no business getting that ball unchallenged. Ejuke was supposed to close him down, but he failed to track back. Chukwueze wouldn't make such a mistake.

The whole of Twitter and Reddit is backing DR Congo to beat Nigeria. Few of them are the usual underdog advocates, but it seems the majority are the usual suspects (Ghana, SA etc) 😂

I'm still not sure what it is about Nigeria that makes practically every nation want to beef us. 😂😂

I'm also seeing people online trying to gaslight us that Gabon is not as good as DRC, like they weren't hyping Aubameyang et al to the highest heavens before we snatched their chain on national television.

Let Super Eagles just lock in and do this for me abeg. I'm going to be insufferable on Twitter for the rest of the year. 🤧

Simple
Yes osayi will get the blame for the weak header and the deflected goal
But if Ejuke was in position, he would have intercepted that lose ball, or blocked Lemina's shot or forced him wide..

Simple stuff
Only Osayi grabbed a player's shirt in the 18. Poorly Nodded the ball. Still deflected the ball into the net.

He's jittery

We are the Giant of Africa, no matter the contest and how bad Nigeria is that title remains forever.

We are always a threat to the dominance of other nations and that’s why they beef us.

No, they weren't, he said the ref told him. Watch the interview again.

Meanwhile, during the Benin game, Collin Udoh mentioned in an interview that he was the one who texted the bench to inform them that one more goal would seal the playoff. That was when Ekong and the rest started hurrying Nwabali.
This your talk about Collin specifically the last line na lie. In fact he himself said that he was not sure if his message had any effect. His Co-presenters were even making jest of him that day.

That's not even the first time he's making that kind of driving run. He did it against Benin and Akor got the ball from him and was immediately fouled. That's how we scored our third goal that day.

Someone on SM called him a 20 year old veteran and I agree completely.
When he or Bassey makes those runs I'm always at ease.

When he dispossessed I think Auba and made that run I thought "wait, when did you get to the midfield"

Not even Osimhen took the NT with this level of ease

Victor abeg lock up no go get yellow oh.

Onyeka would have been free if he hadn't reacted against the player who kicked him.

TheSuperNerd:
🔴Reminder: Super Eagles Lads on a yellow and at risk of suspension (if they get a 2nd yellow) from the Intercontinental Playoff when we get past DRC

Frank Onyeka - MF
Amas Obasogie - GK
Victor Osimhen - ST
Stanley Nwabali - GK
Alex Iwobi - MF
Calvin Bassey - DF
Tolu Arokodare - ST
Bruno Onyeamaechi - DF

NB: Ndidi misses the DRC game but will automatically be back for the Intercontinental playoff when we get past DRC. Similar to how Semi Ajayi missed the Gabon game due to suspension but is now available for the DRC Game.

Times are delicate.

It's not about how many, but when.

One card is some situations is more dangerous than 50.

Nwabali fit collect 100 cards, we no too care.

Ekong fit collect 1,000, we are secured

But Oshimen? Noooo o
I feel you, Chief

Hmmm... he looks 22? Okay ooo... if you say so.
These guys are stop gap options at best. Also i dont trust the ages of Nwainu and Uchenna. Tebo Franklin is already 25. The guys i am looking at as the future CBs are Ben Fredricks, Emmanuel Chukwu and Vince Osuji. We MUST get Honest Anahor. I don't see why we can't get him to commit. Other African nations are going for top Dual Nats. Heard Algeria is about to secure Ethan Mbappe. Michael Kayode is another player we should get to commit as well as integrating Emmanuel Michael. We need to start thinking post 2026.

as an ardent chelsea fan and sport stakeholder, where do you think Osimhen should placed that miss
Options many. He could have gone round the keeper, or taken a step further to the left and then finished, or attempted a feint and a lob.

Pardonnez moi, but Won't These cards be cleared at the Afcon, considering they come before the playoffs?

Against Congo we need to score in the first half to avoid another frustrating and cagey game as the Congolese won’t give much away.

But am confident in our boys to go all the way and do the damage to the opponent on time

CAF and FIFA competitions dont mix in this regards. It is accumulated yellows or reds in afcon qualifiers that determine who misses the opening rounds of the Afcon.

We need to score within the first 20 minutes
It will calm our nerves and we can play our game..
And if congo come out to play, they will leave gaps for us to exploit with our fast forwards

From what I saw in their game yesterday, they won't really come out to play. They will adopt the Gabonese approach, likely, sitting deep and letting us come out so they can counterattack. They will also try to take advantage of set pieces, so we must watch them closely
