He would have had an assist too if Victor scored one goal like that
Yes, at exactly 101 minute.

Yes, they will carry over. It is cancelled only before the World Cup Proper.
Under FIFA rules, yellow cards are carried forward until just before the World Cup.
But Ronaldo will miss the first match of the world cup. So why are they carrying that of the European qualifiers?

After Simon, I think iwobi is next in line for the captaincy... I might be wrong..

But I'd like to see osimhen wear it....
Simon has worn it once and yes it should be Iwobi in terms of seniority and yes Osimhen would make a good captain for sure. He is a natural leader.

Abeg..nothing fit make me query Victor for removing shirt..
E reach to remove trousers sef..
The guy has put smiles on our faces, so I no dey look his faults at all..his positives have overshadowed his negatives.
See as he carry SE for head like gala..
If he was in the previous matches, we won't be playing playoffs..
Abeg..Victor, we love you as you are..
God bless you. You know exactly how I feel too.

Only the home Rwandan game is the one Osimhen played that he didn't get a goal contribution and it was because of early injury...

He brought us here in the first place. I knew we'd win in extra time even after that miss. If we no win, that means we no dey destined to go World Cup... It's unusual of him, especially in his current form this season.

Our World Cup qualification story no go sweet without all these dramas. It has been like this since Matchday One. Next tomorrow, expect another drama before we win again.

And your best are always abroad…

FIFA should consider limiting the number of diaspora or binational players a national team can field. Take Nigeria, for example—its local league struggles to produce top-tier talent, yet the national team often relies heavily on players developed abroad.

This is cheating in my opinion

I still maintain that the bonus dispute was BS. There's no way you boycott training and then drop 4 goals on a determined Gabonese side. I'm not buying it lol. This is Eric Chelle playing head games with opponents.

We don't need him to be a starter
Just a good sub is enough
He's not good enough to start for us..

Also his defensive work can be better
He was badly positioned when Lemina scored that goal...

He should have been covering for Osayi who went to win that header
Ejuke was behind Lemina ball watching, instead of tackling or challenging for the ball
No Super Eagles winger is a better dribbler or passer of the ball.
He has the best control of the ball.

Samuel Chukwueze has improved so much in what he does defensively, if not I would have given that to Childera Ejuke also. Ejuke's defensive works are well commended by his coaches.

He can start any game depending on how the coach wants to win the game.

Yes, they will carry over. It is cancelled only before the World Cup Proper e.g. Ndidi will serve his suspension vs DRC but if he is yellow carded again in the intercontinental playoffs final, that yellow will be wiped if Nigeria makes it to the WC Proper.
Under FIFA rules, yellow cards are carried forward until just before the World Cup.

Note:

Scenario 1: If player A has a yellow card from MD 1 (or any other matchday before the last) of the WCQs and bags another yellow on the final day of WCQs (including playoffs), player A will miss the WC Proper Opener.

Scenario 2: If a player has one yellow, and does not bag a 2nd yellow before the WC proper, the one yellow will be wiped off and the player given a clean slate for the WC Proper.

Finito.
Marked down just in case.

The whole of Twitter and Reddit is backing DR Congo to beat Nigeria. Few of them are the usual underdog advocates, but it seems the majority are the usual suspects (Ghana, SA etc) 😂

I'm still not sure what it is about Nigeria that makes practically every nation want to beef us. 😂😂

I'm also seeing people online trying to gaslight us that Gabon is not as good as DRC, like they weren't hyping Aubameyang et al to the highest heavens before we snatched their chain on national television.

Let Super Eagles just lock in and do this for me abeg. I'm going to be insufferable on Twitter for the rest of the year. 🤧
When it comes to this world cup play off, it's a well known fact that it's Nigeria against the rest of Africa. I don't know any African country supporting Nigeria to qualify

I want able to watch from start yesterday,

I start watching wren they are showing replay of Osimhen first goal,

His second goal was typical of his goals, chest, knee then let fly boom issa goal, same thing he did to Chris Smalling and Roma in Italy

Again no thanks to that Southies refre, the man was card happy mehn, especially that Onyeka yellow card, wasn't supposed to be given,

In all weldone to the Guyz onto Sunday things, let's get African settled sharp

That's the thing sir, in the midst of Chaos we find ourselves giving our best

Let me use Osimhen second goal as an example, in the midst of four defenders he still scored, While One on One with the keeper he missed,

What am trying to say here is given the opportunity, we are more likely to struggle, while in the midst of Chaos you will see the naija spirit in full force

🔴Reminder: Super Eagles Lads on a yellow and at risk of suspension (if they get a 2nd yellow) from the Intercontinental Playoff when we get past DRC

Frank Onyeka - MF
Amas Obasogie - GK
Victor Osimhen - ST
Stanley Nwabali - GK
Alex Iwobi - MF
Calvin Bassey - DF
Tolu Arokodare - ST
Bruno Onyeamaechi - DF

NB: Ndidi misses the DRC game but will automatically be back for the Intercontinental playoff when we get past DRC. Similar to how Semi Ajayi missed the Gabon game due to suspension but is now available for the DRC Game.
Its almost certain that one or two will miss the intercontinental playoffs. Let's just pray that Osimhen and Bassey would be safe.

I don't even mind all of them getting a yellow card as long as we beat the Congolese cause they're a very stubborn side and have determination, a finely coached side. We need to play this match like as if it's a rematch of the last afcon final we lost. Their backline has gotten better with the addition of wan bissaka and tuanzebe so no wastage of chances so we won't suffer Cameroon's fate. Nwabali has to be careful especially on his moments of skit making,

They know how troublesome we can also be when they have their bad times in football. I even saw a Kenyan boasting DRC would win us and I was like what's our business with this one. Having osimhen alone is enough proponent for jealousy plus many of our players playing in Europe and winning key awards so don't be surprised.

That's a stretch..

Drc is a very stubborn team. Very stubborn o like the they are not far from being a top west African team, but they will be surprised when we go wallop them 4-0… grin
Infact 3-0 first half…

They go wan do jam body hard nut foot but they will the goals go enter go shock them …

Still they are a hard nut, very tough team, super eagles must be very serious like we are playing Argentina, plus not loose balls unnecessarily, especially in midfield, once we take our early chances and slot two in goals in early, before they grow into the game, match don end.

I've you noticed he concedes cheap goals like uzoho. When lemina struck that ball, he was in the best position to prevent it from going in because it was his near post. Against Zimbabwe, that was the same thing. He allowed a dull pass pass under his arm and into the path of the awaiting scorer
Nwabali na case now

Hmmmm imagine Congo scoring us 2-0 in the first half but we come in second half and give them 3.

I can even endure such a match than that equalizer yesterday. I felt so deflated after that goal and then because of Osayi I wasn't comfortable.
