No. The deflection is the culmination of his bad defending. I had complained before he even dragged the jersey of the Gabonese player.
Yes. The jelly pulling is what I agree to.

Will most likely miss the WC next year.

Akor Adams vs Gabon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WKj37n8jJI
Akor should continue to partner Osimhen whenever we choose to play two attackers.
He plays with less pressure than the others we have tried to partner Osimhen.
He has scored crucial goals for us now.

I believe we will beat DRC, but this your analysis was very annoying to read sha. How is Gabon better than DRC?

So, they should beat a studded Cameroun team 3-0 in a knockout game? Have you looked at Cameroun's squad before? They are just not in-form, but the squad has quality.

DRCs squad quality btw is way higher than Gabon, by squad obviously should be among top 10 in Africa. DRCs group was also arguably the toughest in the first stage.
what is annoying in what i wrote…abeg rest one side…
which group is arguably tough?
Gabon played CIV(Afcon reigning champion)
Drc played Senegal(though above CIV in ranking)

other teams in Gabon group are stronger than than the ones in DRC group
Kenya and Gambia is played above Togo and Sudan based on fifa ranking

Baba the Gabon we played can also beat Cameroon1-0…if capeverde could beat them 1-0 in september…so DRC beating a finished cameroon is not a surprise

I see some experienced old warhorses who are ready to fight their last fight to reach the Mundial. They’re physical, hungry, and willing to die on the pitch. We’ll be facing a far more clinical side today — a team with a rugged defensive back line.

But the real question is: can they withstand the men of Chelle?
This is the best form we’ve seen from them since the Rohr era. The team’s cohesiveness is miles ahead of what we used to have.

I want our coach to maintain the same lineup we used against Gabon and let’s truly test how dogged the Gabonese can be. I’m expecting a real fracas today.

Are you guys ready for it?
I’m predicting a low-scoring match, but the Super Eagles will hit them hard. (2:0) or a 3:1 scoreline ...Suoer Eagles all the way .

Had the Gabonese GK not turned on his inner Neuer, Iwobi would have had an assist to Osimhen's header early in the game.

See how Akor Adams sneaked in and claimed the role of a supporting striker. 3 games, 2 goals. And he's never invincible. He's an Eagle.

He's pushed Tolu to the bench and made us forget Dessers and the rest.

What a dream for him.

Somehow since Amokachi, Idoma people have consistently produced top players for us:
Onazi
Moses Simon
Now Akor.

I'm from the middle belt but my ethnic group has never produced one player for Nigeria although I'm hoping that this my son who is just less than two years and is always holding ball in his hands, fit come become goalkeeper for naija ooo. 😂😂😂
grin, as long as he's not going to take aftee Uzoho.

I watched the video. The leg really broke. He shouldn't have initiated such tackle from such position. Wishing him quick recovery.

Gabon may not have the quality names, but during the group stage qualification they play better football than DRC….just like Nigeria having a better squad than SA and we struggle to a 1-0 win over Rwanda at home but SA walloped them 3-0 at home….if Gabon and DRC had met, they would have dragged themselves to penalty shootout

permit me to ask, what tribe are you sir?
"What Ethnicity are you"

"tribe" is a colonial construct only used for their colonies. They never used such word to describe themselves.

Europeans teams meet themselves on a regular due to their numbers, so it's not new.

This is funny. What happened to doing it the African way? Let all countries under every federation come together for intercontinental playoff.

Nigeria should just loose for peace sake, so that Nigeria government can focus on eradicating hunger.

I wonder what football has to do with the effectiveness of the Nigerian government from a causal standpoint. If anything, developing our football is one of the fastest ways to eradicate hunger in this country. Hosting the AFCON alone could generate millions in tourism and trade, as seen with Egypt in 2019.

The fact that people like you see football as a mere distraction is the reason why we fail to progress in this country. Because of mindsets like this.

basically we are 41st, the next team is 45. So far we dont have a disastrous afcon and the next team plays no more games till march, we will be part of the top seeded nations.

Typical Nigerian mentality: believing that anything produced abroad is automatically better than what you build at home.

Let’s be honest: after all these years of gathering “ready-made” players trained in Europe, how far has Nigeria actually gone in the World Cup?
Nowhere near where they claim to be.

If African football is ever going to rise, it has to be built locally — with strong leagues, real academies, and homegrown development.
Relying on players formed abroad is a shortcut that leads nowhere. You won’t win a World Cup with borrowed talent.
Mr. You that have players plying their trade only in your home league, how many AFCON and FIFA World Cups has your country won?

On match day, it's best to stay on this thread and YouTube than on X.

On X, the ignorance of the average Nigerian fan is shocking. You'd see people who have not followed the SE for years making stupid comments. You go just weak.

And then again how is it possible to be an avid club fan but feel nothing for the SE?

See this post 👇👇. See this person mentioning Tosin Adarabioyo instead of Semi. They don't even know our players.
These are the issues. Misinformation
