There was never going to be sustained tariffs, because he was never going to win it. Tbe fundamentals were absent.

Unfortunately, far too many pro-Trump supporters on here are too stupid to understand that a conservative government campaigning on the badge of cutting cost, but wanting to enact a tariff war to bring manufacturing back to the US, are two explicitly contradictory positions.
