Just two 90 minutes and we are off to the 2026 World Cup! Give us this day O' Lord! I feel it could be like Nigeria vs Benin's game! The DRC gave the Cameroonians a lot of chances to score. Also, the DRC keeper is not that good! They won't survive Akor and Osimhen! Our defence will easily cope with their attack. Ajayi comes in for Osayi and Federick mans the right side and we are set. |

minfelix:We will be more vulnerable if he doesn't play, except the coach makes adequate compensation. Ndidi is very good. |

We haven't lost to a nation below tier 1 in African football during a crucial knockout stage since the 80s (possibly longer). These are the teams that have beat us in a knockout stage: 1984 - Cameroon 1988 - Cameroon 1990 - Algeria 1992 - Ghana 2000 - Cameroon 2002 - Senegal 2004 - Tunisia 2006 - Ivory Coast 2008 - Ghana 2010 - Ghana 2019 - Algeria 2021 - Tunisia 2023 - Ivory Coast All of these teams are definitely tier 1 African teams. When we do face teams lesser than tier 1 in do or die games, we must prevail. Two examples: 1994 AFCON where we beat Zambia and 2013 AFCON where we beat Burkina Faso. |

Drc undoing is that Nigeria actually rates them, if they were total underdogs I would have been worried. If they were a top North African team I would be scared, if they were out of form rivals like Ghana, Cameroon I would be scared. But DRC No na, only total complacency or extremely terrible luck will make us not win today. |

TheSuperNerd:Thanks, so 68 for Ndidi and 88 for Iwobi. My general statement still holds, there hasn’t been a striker of that longevity. |
