Lookman is rubbish right now, he needs to be dropped for a while until he gets it together.

Chukwueze and lookmon should be substituted , but who will play the free role given to Chukwueze , unless the Chelle switches formation

Because Chukwueze and Lookman are staying high
Iwobi and Ndidi are tracking wide.
They are staying infield instead of wide. The two are majorly playing as supporting strikers.

So far

OSIMHEN puting work but not getting enough ball Coz possession has been average

ONYEKA Scored to put us up and has been fair

LOOKMAN still rusty but seems to be improving

CHUKS usual problem of inconsistency and disconnection and it's making the opposition exploit the right wing

NWABALI has been ok but I dey fear make ball no reach him leg cause of his looming drama

NDIDI positioning cost us the goal, and also scrambled a big chance. he should step up like the previous game

IWOBI'S head is not totally in the game

BASSEY hasn't been bad neither has he been good

FREDRICK Omo that guy na baller but I believe CB is still his best position

ZAIDU has been indecisive

We can turn things around in the 2nd half, hopefully
EJUKE and AKOR will come in

What is happening to Look man huh
He's not been himself lately playing for SE
Lacks confidence when on ball, easily dispossessed many unforced errors, scuffs balls he shouldn't

What's happening?

This match is going as I have envisaged. I knew it was going to be a tough one, but we will emerge victorious.

That black boy on their left wing would have destroyed either Osayi or Awaziem.
When I saw that name on their lineup, I remembered one UCL match were the guy scored against Man U, he was playing for young boys then. The guy is good.

We don't even have much chances today lol 😆
Cos na back pass we dey do today. Not creating chances just waiting for Congo to snatch the ball from us.

Talks like this irks me, na why politicians dy use us.
Ndidi who was superb in the last match is the same person you're saying is old.
Others are calling for Iwobi's head; do people realise some days are bad days in footbal??

Ndidi was been careful handling that ball because controlling it or clearing it wrongly which he sould have done would have led to an own goal considering the force that pass came with. It was a tricky situation.
Thats why a younger player would have done much better.

Ndidi does not have the speed a younger player would have used to react faster.

From your opinion, the coach needs to move Ndidi to iwobi's position then remove iwobi and bring in Onyedika.

The Super Eagles are losing to the Super Eagles.

We are undoing ourselves. The Congolese are simply waiting and trying to exploit our erroneous back passes. Communication and passing needs to improve on our backline.

The regression of Lookman at both club and national level is quite a site to behold.
That guy is our weakest link!
He should be subed ASAP!

Is he playing a 4-2-4? only Ndidi and Onyeka are manning the full length of the midfield

TheSuperNerd:
I noticed same. Initially, Frank Onyeka was the RCM operator, Chuks roamed as the central attacking midfield player.

This was how the setup was before we conceded... I was typing this below but paused after they equalised.

The midfield is interesting. Chukwueze plays in the middle and isnt far from lookman or Iwobi by much when he gets the ball.... part of the reason our transition flow and passing sequence in the middle has been really good. Onyeka is playing more from the right as the RCM, Chukwueze as the roaming attacking midfielder and Iwobi as CM. Ndidi sits deeper behhind them. Lookman plays as the Left halfspace attacking operator, and somewhat dropping off Osimhen who is the pointman.

The above was the setup before Chuks was finally pushed wingwards to RW post DRC-goal.

Akor Adams is Idoma period.

iwobi did not do well in the AFCON final against CIV.

So finals is not his thing for SE.

We can no longer rely on 4-3-3 that is what got us in this position. Revert to the formation that has gotten you the result.

He necessarily doesn't need to remove anyone now, all we need is a tactic change, and more determination.

The scoreline in the next 15 minutes will determine if we will remove Lookman and bring in Adams to pressure their defense.

This is how I look at it.
