Our players look heavy and tired. We are playing as if we are 4 goals up

No urgency, bite or interest in creating any chances

We are just spineless. no intensity without Osimhen
Osihmen out is a psychological error; even the opponent will feel safer

This team on the pitch can still get the job done but have to stay focused on each phase as it comes. Ejuke and Simon in ensures our fullbacks get the help needed and width is provided hopefully allowing Iwobi to step up more into the final third plays.

I am worried though. Akor has not had a sniff of a chance just yet.

Fiston Mayele who came on for Bakambu is no slouch either. Leads the line for the best team in African club football, Pyramids FC. Bassey and co should police him well.

Their back 4 is impenetrable, it would take some doing to score a second goal

It's about tactics, coach should had leave the CB pairing of Benny and Bassey, go with a 2man strike Force,

Beside Ndidi and Nwabali are to be blamed for that goal, what was he leaving the ball for

Overall the team lack balance with these formation, and the refre sef hmm

Please we have to focus on the lads on field now. Asking about Osimhen now does us no good. He is no more in play as much as it hurts and shocks.

DR Congo has totally dominated this half and are pushing strongly for a second. Our final third is totally non-existent.

NasirIbnLaAhad:
"Thriving in chaos" is what years of administrative failure has made you to believe. The NFF probably believe the same as well, and that's why we have remained stagnated, because we keep relying on quick fixes. But if you think "thriving in chaos" is a sustainable model for a World Cup campaign, then you're only deceiving yourself. Morocco and Senegal prove you wrong. In fact, statements like this only justify the chronic mismanagement of the NFF, and the cycle will continue until real structural change is effected, not just random boycotts, protests and rushed bank transfers.

As it stands, we're likely not going to qualify. We may struggle to breeze past Gabon because Gabon simply don't have the required quality to match us, but against Cameroon or DR Congo, we'll likely fall.

Just focus on AFCON now and spare yourself the heartbreak while you still can
Good time to bring this back.

Not impenetrable in their defence, we don't just have creative midfielders with killer passes. This same defence will concede 5 against Spain

Eric Chelle is looking clueless so far. Not going to lie. Not saying he's a bad coach in general, but it's clear this game is beyond him.

It looks like something happened in the dressing room. Osimhen wasn’t injured when they went in for break.
