Tbh I am tired of Iwobi , he has really not added anything spectacular to our football, if he is not playing on the wings, he should sit it out..

He is very uninspiring, and as a senior player, has never stepped up…

what is annoying in what i wrote…abeg rest one side…
which group is arguably tough?
Gabon played CIV(Afcon reigning champion)
Drc played Senegal(though above CIV in ranking)

other teams in Gabon group are stronger than than the ones in DRC group
Kenya and Gambia is played above Togo and Sudan based on fifa ranking

Baba the Gabon we played can also beat Cameroon1-0…if capeverde could beat them 1-0 in september…so DRC beating a finished cameroon is not a surprise
If to say I login on time wey you dey argue this thing i for give you some knowledge wey go straighten you up on DRC. Basically DRC is the newest African heavyweight at the moment. They poached a lot of foreign borns (Ex Belgium age-grade internationals playing in top-flight leagues) recently and have been improving massively. If you can find their game against Senegal, you can watch it to see how good they are. Just that Senegal could not afford to lose that game cause they would have lost the first place.

AFCON too they were really good if you remember that game against Egypt and they added more foriegn born players during these WC qualifying round.

I have been saying it since Rohr. We do but we are not ready to scout, screen and try out.
I think we need to take our U-17 and U-20s more seriously and focus less on the senior national team

NFF have drowned our football. Amaju Pinnick was a cancer to our football.
When you guys protest at their HQ, they will take you guys serious. All these fantasy writings you guys have here, they don't give a damn. They are after what FIFA gives them.

Even though we lost, it wasn't easy dragging it to penalties despite struggling, they did their best

I have repeatedly made my point. Aim to grow. Play like a tiger and not a chicken.

We were not trained or set up to play today.

And can someone deliver us from this long ball catastrophe football.

They should prepare well for Afcon then

Chai see the way Nwabali was labouring to keep us in the game, but the players keep coming to f**l themselves with poor kicks🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

To think that we almost won that shootout. In fact that penalty drama was the most unforgivable aspect of the whole game.

Fine and good. We got outplayed. At least we made it to the penalties! And Nwabali was even on his best of forms! How do we miss three penalty strikes so weakly?

I hate losing when we've already come far. Finish me off from the very start. Don't give me hope. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Everything in our football is in shambles. The NFF doesn't care at all. How can they let our U17 die for years.

WE HAVE MIDFIELDERS BUT CHELLE IGNORES THEM.

AKINSANMIRO. UCHE, he doesnt know how to utilise.

Onyedika, he doesnt know how to utilise.

Again, I will say it... I laughed so hard when folks here were praising Chelle for saying he monitors over 500+ players overall or 80+ players weekly. That is cap! Complete cap! You dont monitor that much and not come up with tactical realisations on certain talents monitored.
una don start,so Chelle should be experimenting in the playoffs final?

💯 That guy is already washed!
Watch him next week in Paris FC and you will see the kind of assists he gives. Zero zeal for the National team.

20 minutes in even with our goal, I observed that they were playing better than us. They are truly a well drilled side.

At a point, I blamed CAF for clearing Ndidi for the match. Onyedika could have replaced him and might have done better.
I faulted Iwobi largely for the equaliser

@TheSuperNerd, why was Sanusi starting ahead of Bruno Onyemachi? Pardon my lapses, I have not been following our football for a while.

We even saw Uche against South Africa

He yanked off our "Aje butter fine boy striker",the same way he relegated our captain Ekong to permanent bench. If he remains as Super Eagles coach, I'm sure you will not see Tolu in that team except by miracle.

Just like the Nigerian Government, the kind of Corruption there is very cancerous. The only person that tried to sanitize them was Goodluck Jonathan but those crooks reported him to FIFA.
When you guys want your football to grow, take the heat to them.

No world class stadia.
No youth academies.
No national training centre.
No match day wages paid.
No long term planning.
Archaic domestic league.

Days like this are one of the reasons I wouldn't demand a change of NWABALI but correction.

He kept us in the game with his die minutes save
He saved penalty as well.

If only our players didn't miss theirs maybe we would have progressed.🤔
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 11:24pm On Nov 16, 2025
We need more quality in our team, especially in the midfield, all these names we keep brandishing here abeg make we forget am. The day we see quality, it will be too obvious, and you don't need to beg any coach to feature such players; we just don't have the materials

How we miss out on players like Eze is a shame. Quality doesn't hide, it's too visible!

When Semi Ajayi stepped up, I knew he was not gonna score the penalty.

Ndidi
Onyeka
Awaziem

These are guys that should have stepped to take penalties before Semi Ajayi.
