The video was clear enough, the Presidential Guard Brigade only played the tune of the song while the judges stood up to welcome the President to the podium. None of the judges sang along. This is a standard protocol whereby the President has the prerogative to determine what song would usher him on stage. And it is not only limited to conferences, forums, or political gatherings, it cuts across all activities, including presentation of budget or any other official presentations. It's just a matter of protocols.

THE PRESIDENT DOES NOT HAVE THE PREROGATIVE TO DETERMINE SONG TO BE PLAYED IN AN OFFICIAL NATIONAL FUNCTION .... YOU TURN THE CONSTITUTION UPSIDE DOWN WITH THAT COMMENT IN RED

FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AND PLEDGE ARE THE OFFICIAL SONGS AND COMMITTMENT TO NIGERIA .. NOT TO INDIVIDUAL OR TRIBE ......... THE JUDGES SHOULD HAVE OPPOSED THIS NONSENSE IF THEY have ANY INTEGRITY LEFT IN THEM

From the video, it was the Guard Brigade that played the sound to usher President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the podium. We didn't see or hear judges chanting the song but of course, the bitter election losers will do what they know how to do best and twist the narrative even when the video is very clear.
However, whether the judges sang it or not, "On your mandate" has become the 2nd official anthem of Nigeria. Every individual or institution is at liberty to sing whatever song the wish to.
The problem is the hypocrisy of the wailers, especially the Bitter Obidients. We remember lawyers were taking pictures with PitaObi during the NBA conference before the election, many of them were singing " Obi kekerenke ", to Obidients, nothing was wrong about it. imagine Obi was President, every institutions would have been singing Obi kekerenke and they won't raise an eyebrow. But it is Tinubu, their nightmare, then they must wail. Trust me, Atiku and Obi will sing on your mandate after Jagaban finally bury their political ambitions in 2027.
The joyful election winners, see how disgraceful the country you inherited is today

Supporting nonsense again. Whether Band brigade or not, what did they do? If not for public condemnation, they won't deny, and correct the presidency... As it is, Judges are compromised and biased because Presidency and FCT have control over them, through complicity and nepotism. The other day on the news, a man said the only people that are selected to be judges are the judge's offspring and politician's who have penetrated them. No equality even in judiciary or Legal system at large. Wike dashing them houses left right and center. Buying cars and gifting them endlessly in one form or the other under the pretense that government is caering to their needs.

Nigeria never get judges o. What they have is presidential arm of judges

What are they standing for?
Why did they invite the president to a bench of judges, is he a judge?
Re: NJI Debunks Viral Claim That Judges Sang ‘on Your Mandate’ At Conference by LLMG: 10:22am On Nov 20, 2025
The guard brigade played the song for president tinubu, the judges did sing along, that's the true position. From their training they know very well that they can not be seen entangled with things as such.

When wrong "deference" is not applicable.

It was in bad taste, very crude and one of the cons of sycophancy in our society, to play such a sycophant song on a judiciary conference, speaking on justice and equality.

APC show refinement.

The judges are appointed by the executive, even in advanced countries. So it’s now a question of whether the people of the country can achieve an independent judiciary despite this obstacle.

In a working country such song of political manipulations couldn't have been allowed in such a ceremony.

Unfortunately no one has the balls of Yerima to put a stop to the absurdity.

Do say that. Don't human voices accompanied the orchestra just that the voice back up was largely small. Signalling massive rejection of the song among the judiciary.

But the question is why was the song not stopped as such hypocrisy should not have marred the judiciary s programme?

Stopped as in, the judges should have gone to squabble with the presidential band as the president is on his feet? Why do you people just reason in a one dimensional manner?

The question is did the judges sing the song,if people have any problem with the song their anger should be directed to the presidential brigade that played the song and not the judges

That song should only be sang in APC rallies , and Tinubu's campaigns tours...

But the issue with you APC supporters is that you defend everything done both wrong and right...

The song is even to intimidate the Judges if you conclude that the Judges didn't sing along ...
And for the fact that the Judges didn't react to the song, what then do you think transpired between the President and the Judgeshuh?

Reminds me of the man building houses for the Judges in FCT anyway.....Yerima's best friend ...

So the Nigerian Army Brigade of Guards is now part of "President's men", that is part of Tinubu's political structure.

Is the Army supposed to be playing political songs at all during such high-profile, dignified judge's conference. That's double tragedy.

We are finished in this country. The kind of things they defend is shocking. These people have lost all sense of shame amd basic decency.

Meanwhile, CAC church at Eruku, Kwara is mourning another attack on Christians. VP Shettima is in charge of security.
