Terrorism: Court to reconvene by 3:50,pm for sentencing of Nnamdi Kanu.

Awomolo (SAN), prosecuting counsel urged the Court to place him in the safest custodial centre in the country (not Kuje) for his safety, he should be restricted and barred from using the social media and the maximum sentence (death penalty) be meted out to the convict who has shown habitual unruly behaviour.

Obi Aguocha, Hon Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency (Kanu's home Constituency) pleaded for clemency and mercy on the defendant whose trial has gone on for close to 10 years.

Enough of suspense. Deliver the judgement and let everyone move on. Those who want to be stuck by the judgement are free to do so

Should Kanu be convicted, his likely pardon will come after the 2027 election

Buhari avoided sentencing this man, knowing he's actually innocent.
He resorted to holding him politically because there was nothing much he could do, as an intelligent man that he is.

But Tinubu wants to sentence Kanu for terrorism? Where is the evidence that IPOB killed Ahmed Gulak?
Or what interest would Gulak's death be to the course of Biafra independence?

Bello Turji is a free man, Sheik Gumi is a free man.
Sunday igboho is a free man, despite perceived treasonable felony?

I've been sitting on the fence, but if Nigeria sentence this man because he's against what the Fulanis are doing, I Will never believe in one Nigeria again.

With what I have seen so far, Kanu will be lucky if gets life in prison.

The only solution to this problem is a political solution, not by sentencing.

This same government negotiated with terrorists and bandits who are ravaging Nigeria with violence. Same government are still rehabilitating "repentant" Boko Haram and ISAWP members. Government have negotiated with Niger Delta militants in the past, and some of these militants now have juicy contracts of "guarding" pipelines which they were blowing up before.

Sunday Igboho has not net been arrested.
Sheik Gunmi has not been arrested.

This is not any different and that's currently the most sensible solution to this problem..

The prosecuting counsel did excellent job ... unfortunately, Kanu's arrogance to drop his defence counsel and assume defence by himself na great undoing..

Courts, judiciary and legislative must play their role, pass strong laws to deter terrorists and sentence them to death. I was shocked when iswap leader was given twenty years only, after killing hundreds of people...it's stupidity to love the life of a terrorist than yours.

All nations in the world create strong laws to preserve national security, America created Guantanamo Bay, nations enact death penalty, why are we so weak?

We have to agree that the only terrorist in this country is the system called government, since 2009, the government has weaponised criminal against the people of this country.

Nobody is coming to save Nigerian, it's high time to report these people and the evil they worship to the Creator of heaven and earth. We are in a situation were farmers can no longer go to farm or the people to a place of worship even though many of the religious leaders are criminals (traditionalist, Islam and Christianity).
