One good thing about the north is that it has good and smooth roads.
You are right. I will keep in touch for the Lr3. We can get sponsors for Kebbi to Tripoli desert storm.

Good day wonderful people, have you checked your front and rear axle oil? Please do that now in case you have never bothered about it. It cost nothing to do so but it will destroy the engine if it is ignored

Stop lying and misleading people by intentionally or ignorantly putting fears in them.

"A bad differential will not directly damage the engine, but it can cause catastrophic failure of the differential itself, leading to driveline damage, tire damage, poor handling, and ultimately making the vehicle undrivable. The engine will likely continue to run, but power will not be effectively transferred to the drive wheels, causing you to be stranded."

Maybe you are talking about Nissan Xterra but I am talking about Range Rover velar.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by TotoNaRubber: 4:13am On Sep 14, 2025
Hello, could you please advice if the Range rover Velar D240 VELAR is reliable. I read some funny comments online saying that the 2018 model should be avoided, how true is this?

What the pros and cons of the vehicule !

This one is actually a 2018 model.

Thanks

Diesel engines in a Range Rover have been doing thanksgiving for Dangote Diesel. They can now be termed as the had to get. No more dirty adulterated low cetane chemical that has destroyed so many luxurious vehicles in the country. That said, engine oil is the most important thing to watch out for. The Castrol C1 or C2 is not available in adulterated version but you have to look for the oil in C2 specifications. The adblue gives it an edge over environmental concerns as it limits the car from being on the road if it does not meet up with the specifications of the manufacturer. Always be concerned about the level of the adblue in your car and then beware of the axle oil expecially the front as we have had cause to change the front axle countless times. So far so good, Diesel is good in the country and it's the best time in the country for a fuel economy ride.

There was a malfunction issue that made it impossible to reset the adblue life. This rendered the car almost undrivable...

Re: Range Rover Sports Club by TotoNaRubber: 8:43pm On Sep 14, 2025
Thanks, It seems the adblue issue makes the older version like 2018 model unreliable.

I was wondering of the malfunction persists ?

Wow axel oil, adblue, engine oil.
Surely, I can easily get the engine oil but my other concerns are the axel oil, adblue and any sensors that may render the SUV useless.

They are all available. The owners are too busy enjoying the ride and forget the maintenance. Axle oil is once in a while while the adblue depends on how far you drive and the engine oil is twice a year.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by TotoNaRubber: 6:17pm On Sep 15, 2025
In your opinion, it's not a problematic SUV? It's not one of those vehicles you buy and when you have a code display on the dashboard, the mechanic will start advising you to sell the car lol...

The diagnostic tool to scan the car is not available for everyone. The first time I scanned it with the common scanner, the car told me to quickly remove that thing commot from the car. That Velar was also D240 and the Adblue finished and it refused to start. We towed it to the workshop. There was one that we towed from Kaduna to Lagos because of wrong fluids. They even used VW gear oil on the car.

It’s a wonderful car in terms of luxury and appeal
Not the best when it comes with reliability, if I were to advise I’d say get a Mercedes instead . If you do end up still picking this vehicle, I’ll just give you a quick tip though if you’d be going to get this car kindly make sure it is properly inspected sir, especially for coolant leaks by a coolant pipe right beneath the supercharger they’re prone to failure ( on the v8 and v6 motors ). Get a full system scan done on the car that can confirm no faults with the steering system and air suspension unit.

It should be noted that the aforementioned tips are just common faults and the basics shouldn’t be overlooked ( I mean the overall running of the vehicle ) if you do need any help you can always reach out to me at 08028992075

After the desire, please keep her and she will give you the best, just like a virgin wife, and like the Bible says, he who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtain favour from God.

There is nothing to be wary of in the car. Range Rover has restricted us to touch the car anyhow unless we upgrade our systems and capabilities. That I have done and so go ahead and wife the car and enjoy the thrills and pleasure the car gives. Congrats to you in advance and we will be available for more counseling services. Only warning, don't ignore the dynamic response if it is a V8 . The oil is all that matters.

Thank you, I have a Mercedes but tempted to try Range Rover for it luxury, comfort and driving thrill. Are the unreliability with Range that terrible? because it's quite scary the way everyone speak so ill of Range.

Yes they can be quite terrible especially if it wasn’t maintained/managed properly by it previous owner. it’s an high end marque with tendencies of some particular fault such as overheating/ coolant leaks which can lead to catastrophic engine failures if not managed. suspension unit going out ( balloons )/ oil coolers going out. But then people still drive it and I think if you really want to get it just make sure you have good technicians that can properly handle any fault that might crop up, stay consistent with maintenance, join forums that talk about this cars and their common fault and how it can be managed, and with all this In place I believe you should be fine.
