I get that you can't use the right words to express yourself properly. Instead of using the word "immortal" (reserved for God and Him alone), you could have used "enduring" or "sages" of their days - to better convey your points about the characters or point you're "trying" hard to make.

Suitable words for God would be timeless, transcendent, eternal, etc. And that would be assuming that we speak of the same entity when we refer to God - for all I know you may be referring to the barbaric Abrahamic entity which most do.
