Can something non living form life?

Like let's say chemicals mixing until life is form.

Meaning life can be formed without input of an intelligent being.

The evidence points to that possibility. Some experiments have indicated that the progression from inorganic to organic basic amino acids that the building blocks of life can form naturally.

What we don't know is the exact pathway the progression from inanimate took to becoming animate even though we can see some likely intermediate steps. For example we know that self replicating molecules can form but how they formed from amino acids is still a mystery.

If memory serves me right his experiments showed that life can only arise from pre existing life.

Biogenesis is concrete science, and as far as I know, Abiogenesis is still unsupported speculation.

Thanks for the reference, but as you already noted, this does not appear to show that life arose from inorganic matter. It at best demonstrates the emergence of things like amino acids from certain chemical reactions and the road from there to a living thing is still light years away.
