I will be supporting Congo. They did well. Senegal were lucky to push them into 2nd place even.

Sadly we got to do what we have except if Chelle make some drastic changes. Today is exactly 1month to AFCON.

Honestly this world cup still dey pain me especially when I see tiny nations like Curacao, Haiti, Scotland etc celebrating their first ever world cup qualification on my X timeline...when I remember how Nigeria botched the easiest qualification process ever with this expanded format, I immediately get depressed and overheated with rage...and the fact that so many Nigerians seem to have moved on so easily even baffles me the more. We're back to making funny skits and talking about other things- the gnawing insecurity in the country has even created a perfect distraction. Nigeria has broken, failed and betrayed me so many times that I question why am still even patriotic at all?

Meanwhile the real culprits who are behind our football misfortunes who should be resigning by now are still staying put, no accountability, no Federal government interventions to probe the alleged mismanagement of funds by the NFF, the likes of Eguavoen with his record of mediocrity are still there...when FIFA dropped the list of all the countries that have already qualified, it seemed almost painfully surreal not to see a whole Nigeria on that list...it's really painful sha I won't lie, I don't know how you guys move on fast from this, but una dey try...on to AFCON I guess...

We dey talk this midfield like say we no get other younger options to try, we already have some established young midfielders in various clubs across Europe and two of them are even playing champions league football but our dumb football administration keep recycling the same old and tiring legs by playing a 2 man midfield of Iwobi (who isn't a midfielder in my opinion but a RW) and Ndidi (who is past his best days)...David Moses, Onyedika, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Akinsamiro, Gibson Yah etc are all young and promising midfielders all playing at their best levels, what's holding the NFF and Chelle from calling up these boys?

If you want creativity, then maybe convert Chukwueze, Sani Suleiman or Lookman to permanent CAMs.. football is dynamics and all about trying players in new positions etc.

Let's try ogbelu, onyedika, akinsanmiro, onyeka in midfield and let is see what is happening. Change is the only constant thing in life. Even nigeria is now using gas instead of petrol

Legit reports that Chelle has dropped Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun and one other player. He is considering Blackburn Rovers' Ryan Alebiosu, FC Volendam midfielder Gibson Yah, and Pisa FC Ebenezer Akinsamiro for AFCON.

Brighton FC is reportedly interested in signing Benjamin Fredrick from Brentford FC, who is currently on loan with Belgian side FC Dender from the Premier League club.

A bid of around £5 million is being tabled by Brighton for the Nigerian international, who transferred to Brentford from Kaduna-based Academy Simoiben, owned by Super Eagles foward Moses Simon. Most of the our first XI should have been phased out of the first team by now if we had a decent conveyor belt from the youth teams to take over, the fact that we don't even have a decent pool of talent from the youth teams is on the NFF

Faustino Anjorin (Empoli, England): Chelsea academy graduate, currently at Empoli. He has represented England at youth level but remains eligible for Nigeria at senior level

Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal, England): Rising Arsenal star, England youth international, and eligible for Nigeria. He hasn’t played for England’s senior team, so a switch is still possible.

Tim Iroegbunam (Everton, England): Former England youth international now playing for Everton. Still eligible for Nigeria and has a profile similar to Wilfred Ndidi.

Michael Folorunsho (Napoli/Bari, Italy): Italian-born midfielder playing for Bari on loan from Napoli. He has not played for Nigeria yet and remains an option.

Malik Olayiwola (Everton, England): Has featured for England youth sides but remains uncapped at senior level, so his eligibility for Nigeria is intact.

Ndidi had a fantastic game against Gabon to be fair and even Benin but it was a bad day at the office for him and Iwobi against Congo. They would still be there.
