3 points.

1. Does Kanu deserve the sentence: This man incited violence that led to deaths via IPOB and EndSars. The sentence is justifiable! In fact, capital punishment wouldn't have been out of place so, I commend the government for the life imprisonment sentence.

2. Did Government manage it well? He's been in custody since the Buhari administration and spent half of Tinubu 's administration still in custody. I believe this trial should have been wrapped up during the Buhari administration. The delay further complicated matters.

3. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If Kanu is jailed, then so must ALL who have ever been involved in Terrorism and Banditory. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Some of them have been called repentant and absorbed into the military, I stand corrected. What a shame!

[quote author=FreeStuffsNG post=137551686]This is absolutely insensitive! The court pronouncement has established that real victims of the convicts terrorist action exist and are mostly security agents and innocent people.

For a Federal Minster and member of the executive arm of government to undermine the judiciary in this manner is preposterous and unacceptable!

The victims of those terrorists from the NORTH that your governors, ministers and even security agencies go to NEGOTIATE WITH even as they negotiate from a position of power, they don't exist?.
Kanu hadn't owned a pen knife but these terrorists you pamper with chicken while their victims are either dead or languishing in IDPS across the NORTH, they decorate themselves with guns and Ak47 magazines while coming for peace deals where large amounts are used to buy a few days from them...and they will resume their killings.
How do sleep at night with such injustice and knowing that you are NOTHING but a TERRORIST ENABLER?.

Emotionss:
To the Government and it's stakeholders, Mazi kalu and the Biafra agitators are more of a threat than the activities of the Islamic terrorists and their sponsors operating in Nigeria.

Iswap, boko haram, bandits and other terrorists groups operating in Nigeria ONLY wants to islamatize Nigeria. They don't want separation and to the stakeholders of Nigeria that is less of a crime compared to the Biafra agitators who wished to separate themselves from Nigeria....

It doesn't matter if Nigeria is forcefully islamatize as long as we remain one nation, that is acceptable to the stakeholders. At least their interest is still intact.

But what they failed to understand is that the Biafra agitation is bigger than Nnamdi kalu and ipob.

The sentencing of Mr kalu will not stop the agitation for Biafra. It will probably help the agitators gain more sympathy and support across the globe and even within the country...

The Death of Ojukwu did not stop the agitation for Biafra what exactly made you guys believe that the incarceration of MNK will stop or negatively affect the agitation of Biafra ?

Personally, I think the agitators need to change tactics. They need to be less reactive and be more proactive especially outside of Nigeria and with leaders and Nations that are sympathetic to their causes.

They also need to be very very secretive and less emotional in their dealings both in and outside the country....
Please do yourself a very big favor by reading the judgement of Justice Omotosho given yesterday because the judge outlined what constitute a legal self determination and what doesn't under the law. A blood thirsty arrogant terrorist can't claim to kill several people for self determination. You can have your Biafla tomorrow. Simply ask your representatives in the National Assembly to sponsor a bill for a referendum and once you are through and sign an agreement to waka jeje out of Nigeria to your potor region without disturbing the peace of South South people, all will be well. The remaining 300+ ethnic groups will celebrate your exit more than Christmas. In fact, the jubilation among Nigerians will surpass the return of Christ. Within 2 months our passport will regain it's lost glory. The numbers of 'Nigerians' going to prison worldwide will reduce. Please go and allow the name Nigeria breathe. We will be glad to buy back your properties. Please start the process tomorrow. Apart from few politicians do you really think any reasonable Nigerian want to share a country with you? Nope.

The South West has been the most hit, since the sentencing of Kanu.
Even those whose parents are in IDP Camps in Kwara State have found relief.
I don't know how they believed that Kanu will serve Life Imprisonment in this matter!
It's not possible

The court pronouncement has legally established that real victims of the convict's terrorist actions exist and are mostly security agents and innocent people murdered by actions incited by the convicted terrorist.

For a Federal Minster and member of the executive arm of government to ignore the sensitivities of the grieving relatives of his victims and further undermine the judiciary in this manner is preposterous and unacceptable!
You mustn't be f^^lish all the time Mr man. There's nothing wrong in the message released by Bianca. She only called for political solution which we all know would be the end game of this whole Kanu saga.

This is a serious crime conviction. Stop dancing on the graves of his victims by attempting to foul it up as political!

Justice Omotosho noted on Thursday that Mr Kanu described himself as a freedom fighter, but that through the enforcement of his illegal stay-at-home order, arrogating the power of Nigeria’s president to himself, and his inciting online broadcasts, he brought deaths and destructions to the people of South-east for whom claimed to be fighting.

“He turned himself into a tyrant who can kill at will. The defendant cannot be allowed to remain in a sane human society,” the judge said.

Nonsensee, did catch him with a weapon or murdered anybody? No evidence he committed those crimes, what he committed doesn't warrant death or life in prison. Most of the atrocities were committed by ekpa boys who decamped from real ipob and Kanu camp
