Honestly, Nigeria is pushing the Igbos every single day. What they forget is that the new breed of Igbos are not those of 1967. If this madness continues there will be retaliation of monumental proportion. The injustice and wickedness is damn too much and only an evil person will see and say otherwise.
Pls outline the injustice ?

You can't expect the FG to fold their hands when a terror group springs up targeting security officers and innocent civilians.

Maybe you are not aware that your respective state governors appealed for intervention from the FG to come and dislodge IPOB who were constituting themselves as a parallel authority.

Even your Obi was accused by same kanu of orchestrating the massacre of over 200 MASSOB members .

DomPerignon:
That's where your legislators come in.

Even if they can't secure an amendment to see to a referendum clause, they can get a bill passed specifically for the secession of SE out of Nigeria.

Senators in the Senate of the affected states will be told to go back to their constituents and secure at least 2/3rd majority from their respective House of Assembly on a referendum .

Once that is done , the entire Senate will vote an pass a bill specifically to conduct a referendum in states and senatorial zones that have stated they want to exit Nigeria.

The bill will be sent to the President to sign and then modalities for holding the referendum will be decided in the same NASS and this will involve having an external body like the UN, AU , ECOWAS conduct the referendum and once concluded a special transition body setup to finalise Biafra exit within a time frame.

Like every divorce , there will be alimonies. The FG will be expected to set you off with some money and may waiver debts incurred under FG guarantee or for projects like the Second Niger bridge.

A time frame of 5ys will then be set at which point every citizen of Biafra will cease to be a citizen of Nigeria and will be expected to return back to Biafra.
@ShoeMarket Follow the steps of the monicker i quoted so that you people can LEAVE MY COUNTRY!! TIRED OF YOU PEOPLE!!!!!

The Senator is actully loved in the East because he seem to be the only leader who actually understand how Nigeria works.
You think the governors in the states were bandits operate from don't know them or give them protection. We have seen governors opening negotiating with armed terrorists.

The oba who threatened to kill Igbos if they don't vote for APC wasn't he shielded by his people in government?
What about MC oluomo was he not defended by the police?
If governments can protect criminals in their various states why are you angry that same thing is done for an Easterner?
You can't protect your own criminals and expect me not to do same
whataboutism...two wrongs don't make a right.MC Oluomo is not loved by lagosians ,The Oba of Lagos never said what you quoted ..he was only joking with his own Igbo friends throwing banters with them ..make una rest abeg ..d guy go get pardon but he needs to grow up tho .

Extend this same energy to terrorists and bandits
How will they see that part when they are all blinded by tribal bigotry and hatred.

Wait till a northerner becomes President in 2031 and see if that one will even consider pardoning Kanu.

Your only hope is in Tinubu but everyday , as we can see with ipob lobby in the US against his adminstration, you make it harder for him to see reason why he should ever consider pardoning or reducing kanu's sentence.

Oga Food4Thought, no one is against Igbos packing and leaving Nigeria, as a matter of fact, Nigeria and Nigerians will be better for it. Then the association with criminality will no longer rob one the rest of us Nigerians.

Go and conduct referendum before leaving before that is requirement of the constitution. then you can leave, Nigeria will roll out the red carpet for you to leave.
😂😂 exactly…..good riddance to bad rubbish. Leave them to be overestimating their existence, like the world revolves around them. They will be shocked with the jubilation from other Nigerian if that day finally comes….confused bunch of people undecided

Yoruba schlachtfest!.

Wow, congratulations to all Nairaland tribalism warriors.

We had always made it clear that the man in Aso rock is scripting an outcome to hoodwink Igbo votes. Convict Mazi Kanu quickly, then use his release to bait the SE. Congratulations to the SE for maintaining their dignity in the face of this ugly, orchestrated provocation. We will demonstrate to Ahmed Tinubu that we will not be a pawn in his childish game.

Mazi Kanu will be free. To this end, we must work to change this government, send this calamity back to Lagos and save Nigeria.
😂😂😂otondo, with your 5% vote? Was it your vote that made him the president? The last 3 consecutive presidential elections were won without the vote of your dot republic, why would he be needing it now? Abeg we dash gringory 😂😂😂

When they loose on intellectual grounds, they start appealing to tribal sentiments.
Iswap leader got 20 yrs for killing, instigating killings, looting, destroying property and murder of security personnel while Nnamdi Kanu was giving life for instigating and you want to say it's fair?

When 7 soldiers were killed in the south, the military said "how dare they do such a thing" and sieged the community while a general was killed in the north and no siege or retaliation. Is that fair?

Do you want me to bring more cases?

It's really unfortunate that a country where terrorists who have killed thousands of Nigerians are granted amnesty simply because they are Muslim northerners would sentence Kanu who has never been found with any weapons to life imprisonment. Honestly, as a so called Nigerian, I see no reason to be patriotic to this nation. The best thing is to leave this country! I can't birth my offsprings in a country like Nigeria. God forbid!

Appointment, infrastructure, lack of federal presence in SE, economic sabotage such as refusal to allow a single seaport in SE.

Again, failure to allow SE go and now the life incaseration of MNK when you and I know that if MNK was from another region the story would have been different.

Let's not even talk about civil war and why Ojukwu declared an independent Biafra, yet Gowon fought them even through he is the one that reneged on Aburi Accord.

My dear the list is endless but let me stop here.

Even yourself don’t have sense at all… upon all the bad doings Kanu or kalu waiting una they call am did wrong una still Dey support bad egg… even if they want to help him out can’t you see the way the boy is behaving in the court of law. Even with his characters it shows how badly the boy man is. I love the jail term given to him next time he won’t be running is mouth and disrespecting our court room again he will learn in the hard way.. he should go inside prison and see the difference btw freedom and no freedom life..
But the court flaunted it's own orders first. Or is the verdict of a court not supreme and to be respected again?

Someone that was granted bail, and was rearrested just few minutes outside the court room is that not disregard for rule of law?

SE is landlocked .

You get more allocation compared to what you contribute to the federal purse than any other region.

There's FG presence across the SE.

What will you say of Akwa Ibom that outside Police stations, military barracks and prison , no other Federal presence.

As per civil war, you started it and lost woefully .

I understand your frustrations.. I know...... That's why I said igbos can never lobby anything or politicize with a Yoruba man.. mark my words,, all collaboration with SW is down in politics and in many aspects... The only way kanu will be released is by referendum or jail break...
So forget tinubu will never release him and forget SOUTHERN UNITY IS DEAD

If a country is landlocked, it has to strive to become a producing nation. If biafra is formed, no how no how river Niger will be dredged which will allow big ships to offload containers of goods. Igbo always find a way where there's no way

Good words from Abaribe but me, i dont trust anything Nigeria again especially if it has to do with this wicked government, APC or anything that has to do with it. It is a calamitous party that brought all sort of anomaly from impunity to injustice and long-suffering. The injustice under this APC is just too much.
Igbos, true you go endure o till that day you eventually have that power but the day of reckoning is nigh. They can't hold on to it for ever. When you finally have it and reciprocate, I won't blame you because I have seen the injustice too much in my time. If you can forgive and move on, I will respect una more bur if you cannot, I dont blame una at all.

The day it will come, is gonna like a film to you.... And remember we only have access to river Niger which we will contruct a mighty dam that will generate us electricity.. the results of it is the same will distrupt the flow of water to many community in the SS region. And a deal has to be made for Nigerians to create a pathway for ships or the southern region to suffer for fishing activities

And how are you going to sustain an import based economy when you hardly have any source of FX?

And who is going to leave Nigeria to go to Biafra to purchase imported Chinese products ?

On dredging the River Niger or any other waters, you will need Nigeria's permission and also Nigeria that controls the coast line can deny you direct access to the sea.
