Eric Chelle must be bold enough to exert authority as the team's coach. He should drop unproductive players from the team. This is the time to start rebuilding immediately. He should go to the AFCON with players he trusts enough to give him results, as the late Stephen Keshi did in 2013, and damn the consequences.

To be honest, aside from a few of the players, they don't deserve to play at the World Cup. Professional players playing like nothing is at stake, the same way they played Ghana in 2022 in Abuja.

It's time to inject new players into the team.

Bunch of lethargic and lazy players.

Well said 💯 players who are always keeping their legs from risk of injury have no business in the national team

But so many here dey always overhype them because most of them plays in top 5 leagues, sometimes dey go even downplay the achievements of the real golden generation which is the '94 set.

The irony and the truth is,I believe this present team can actually be mounded to be among the Golden generations.
So the bolded is not entirely appropriate.

Two times now, just one win away that have prevented them from their names been etched in history book.

The coaches and the football house are part of the problems that have contributed to their failures.
Without attacking midfielders? 😂 let’s stop the joke please. This is all this present team has got. We are asking for too much.

Maybe having two APOTYs is the reason for the hype but as we can now see those two main guys have been our X factor and when they are not in form or available the team looks like a typical naija home based team without purpose

My sister, I like your love and passion for our dear team. The team tried and Chelle really did well with the team in the short time he has been the coach. You see that voodoo talk, na error from our coach. Maybe we should employ a spiritualist as part of his backroom staff to counter the opponents voodoo practice or maybe even do our own.

this is how I feel about Chelle now, still baffled how and why he refused to give both Onyedika and Yusuf any game time in a game which we actually needed them badly plus the way we went about the penalty shootout.

Strip Ndidi of the captain band, he’s a very poor captain because why is Bassey and Semilogo playing penalties ahead of him? If Semilogo had scored we would have seen Frederick next abi who? Same person who once told us we don’t always have to win games. Comot band from his hand abeg
I agree, Ndidi is not assertive as a captain.

In fact, asides Ekong, Osimhen and maybe Bassey I doubt if anyone in the present team has the aura to lead this team to greatness.

Most of them posses that weak mentality that's holding them back from achieving anything reasonable.

Bankygee, can osimhen make it back in time for our first match on the 23rd of dec. Would have included the egypt friendly in the timeline but even that one is not yet confirmed so im assuming no friendlies b4 afcon. Even the falcons have difficulty getting matches for friendly, wont expect nff to be better for the eagles.

There are speculations that he might even be on the bench for Galatasaray against Union Saint Gilloise on Tuesday. He's started working out behind closed doors in the gym after his treatment.

If luck come shine on them now and they win AFCON,most of una,you self included go bring out una drums and cymbals and sing their praises to high heavens, how some of them would easily make USA '94 team.
I'm sure that if i dig enough,I will find where you were part of their singers.

What I'm saying is that I'm trying to balance things up and give them the benefit of doubt now that everything is clear to you all to see the distinction between the '90s generation and the present generation.

Yes,they don't have Okocha or Mikel, but they have a different weapon in Osimhen, and a very good tactician would still have found a way to accommodate Onyedika, Uche or any other young midfielder to help in the middle to move ball easily to our weapon upfront, Iwobi don't have to play all the minutes or all the games, the same with Ndidi.

I'm still rooting for them to go for the AFCON trophy when the WC disappointment is gone.

This team lacks the mentality to win. We have seen it repeatedly, so expecting to go in there and win the Afcon is a pipe dream. Most of the players don't have confidence in themselves, and it shows even when they are coming out of the tunnel for a match. If a team can be scared of Congo, then what will happen when they face Senegal or Morocco? We've seen enough of this team to know what their mentality looks like. Let's stop giving ourselves false hope and prevent more Nigerians from dying or collapsing due to high blood pressure. This team has peaked already with with last Afcon performance and is on the decline, except we infuse fresh players who will need time to blend before we can begin to see different results. Onyedika and co, you guys are singing about are not world-class players to turn things around as fast as Nigerians desire. They can try, but cannot solve that midfield problem; we all know it, but we are just guessing and making assumptions. The African game is too physical, and this team easily gets bullied by very physical teams so tey even SA dey bully us haba. I hope to be disappointed, sha in Afcon with superlative performances, but for now, let's be realistic.

If the property they are in Abuja belongs to them, look for a good installer to check the place and mount a satellite for them,

With the way our mobile network are, I won't advise anyone to use IPTV

We should not all give up because they failed to qualify for WC.
About Dr congo game, nobody was scared of them,Osimhen absence in the second half affected the team and gave the Congolese extra confidence to play,it happens sometimes when a team is built around a particular player.

Now is the time for the true Super Eagles fans to draw support, not when they start producing results they would all come out and start waxing lyrical about the team.
All their failures are part of the humbling process,to learn from their mistakes and become better, the fans should all also partake in it.

AFCON is far more difficult than WC qualifiers, but I assure you, even in our current state,no African team would be wishing to play us.
If all the injured players recovered before the AFCON,Aina and Osimhen in particular, then there is still hope for the AFCON.
We also have the history of doing well when the expectation is at the all time low.

It's up to the team to perform; this is not a fans' problem. If the fans see more seriousness from the players on the pitch of play they won't be too critical or unwilling to go the whole length to support all the way.

Do you know Nwabali shut the mouths of many with his performance against Congo, even though we lost? he even made one or two errors in that match earlier, but still put up a class performance till the end. That's the kind of thing fans want to see on the pitch. No one is waxing lyrical, but perform well, even if you lose, show us what it means to play for the national team and not the crap we are seeing from some players, and then later tell us to partake in a humbling process. I know you're trying to be positive, but let's call a spade what it is and not just an ordinary tool.

had to mute every word connected to the match and the team before i could enter twitter the following day. I think previous afcon and 2022 wc failed qualifiers prepared me better as I took the loss well better now than then. Mehhn. F**lish me was already hoping we dont meet Argentina again in the group stage not knowing the future was like a vehicle's side mirror; the disappointment was nearer than it appeared. Oh well, It is what it is.
