The citizens of those countries don’t go about demarketing their countries. Nigerians are always on social media always promoting negativity about the country. So, why should tourists want to visit Nigeria?

The notorious drug baron is Nigeria’s chief demarketer.

Remove the drug baron, and watch Nigeria’s global image improve dramatically.

Citizens of Kenya protested sometime ago and blast their government everyday on social media. Same with SA and other African countries. Tunisia protests against government ignited the Arab spring

Problem with a particular group of people in Nigeria called Agbadorians is, they will look for ways to blame the citizens for the failure of the government, until Tinubu leaves office, then they go back to blaming government

These people praised Buhari for 8 straight years as the best, then condemned him as the worst soon after he left office.

This image summarizes Agbadorians. Tueh!

Asides what you said, Nigeria has never ever been a tourist attraction, please what tourist site will visitors come to see ? Our leaders don't invest in hospitality, tourism or sports , so there is nothing to attract , the only attraction such as lagos , calabar carnival and even Uyo are not getting the promotion they deserve .

Though I believe that will change soon thanks to the detty December rave in lagos , lagos needs to intentionally market detty December.

Being one of the largest economies in Africa with the most diverse cultures is enough reason to visit and experience the diversity. The north alone has many tourist attractions. Every part of the country has rich history and culture, delicious food, ancient artifacts and tourist sites.

The number 1 problem is insecurity. Then things like electricity, and bad experiences tourists have right from the airports to the streets.

Foreign governments have had elevated security warnings about Nigeria since the past 15 years or more with religious riots, BH, Armed Fulani gangs, militancy, armed struggle, abductions, robberies etc all over Nigeria

Blame the north and SE for the reason why tourist have abandoned Nigeria due to their senseless killing and maiming.

Some of them attract zero investments in the last 10years
You ARE joking right!?

Since 2015, and against the better judgement of the people you now wish to lay the blame at their doormouth, you have stupidly elected two bigoted and inept presidents back-to-back, based solely on selfish and tribalistic reasons! Yet somehow, in your warped reasoning, you reckon your south-west is to absolved of blame while the south-east are a huge part of the problem! TEN whole freaking years since you snatched power, you’re still looking to blame the Igbo for the international disgrace Nigeria has become!?

Just as it’s not enough to exonerate the drug baron in the picture, it’s not enough to exonerate others as well.

Bro even before insecurity, Nigeria has never ever been a tourist attraction, that was, what Donald Duke tried to invest in and even ran a lot of PR on global media for tinapa, now since duke left what has happened to tinapa? So insecurity is not the issue.
What of sport, I grew up near the liberty stadium in ibadan and that place used to bubble with life and activities, I heard the place was on fire when David visited earlier this month for his tour, the neighborhood was alive with activities for 48 hours.

See how national stadium at surulere was left to rot, Abuja stadium nko?

The honest truth is ourleaders don't like any project that will make them wokr hard for the ROI, thays why we are where we are.

How can other countries like SA, Egypt, even Senegal have decent football league and stadia and Nigeria can't boast of anything?

We need to stop blaming insecurities for the shortcomings of our state governors.

Nigeria was not a top tourist destination for foreigners especially westerners but it had a bustling local tourism industry for Nigerians and other Africans. Don’t forget, we have a high population that can benefit from internal tourism. Insecurity killed it completely.

So yes, the international tourism wasn’t developed, but also the local tourism died because of insecurity, and any investments in international tourism will never materialize with high insecurity
