Kobojunkie:
Nature never intended these things as some sort of competition for the human race, but rather as an opportunity to allow for the creation of the best possible outcomes for the entire race. An 80-year-old man with a higher risk of producing defective children and also at higher risk of not being available to see and raise the child is not the best for either the child or the human race, don't you see? nd given the state of our health system, that child may have to deal with health issues for a significant enough amount of time if he inherited possible genetic defects and would not have his parents around to help with the cost. undecided

Some things should be rightly discouraged, not celebrated. undecided
How?
Which evidence supports your fallacious theory that older men can give birth to children with deformities?
Have you seen one before in your entire life?
Some of you just talk without reasoning and comprehension. Gosh......so annoying 😤😤😤

The choice is yours cool Just ensure you are ready for the inevitable moments: explaining to your children why they lack a father at events like Parents/Teachers Forums, or handling situations where they need a parental figure when you are absent. You must be prepared to fully embody both the mother and father roles, like aunty Tonto grin (she even had to dress like a man on Father’s Day) to ensure your children never feel the void of the missing parent.

Goodluck ✌️

Do you mind her? Many of them in their feminist movements have recently started the campaign to spread falsehoods about men's fertility. They can go to any length to turn the blames of marital infertility on the men; including sponsoring fake 'research' publications! They seriously want people to believe that men's fertility is affected by age!

They forget that the consequences of spreading such falsehood might be dire to population control. We know the wars being waged in many homes by older children to stop their fathers from reproducing after certain number of children. It is not funny because I witnessed such wars in my own family.

My dad was in his late 50s when our last born was given birth to and he was still ready to fire on but my elder siblings had to start intervening to advise him against birthing more. So, spreading such falsehoods might cause some men to start firing uncontrollably in their older ages and that would lead to population challenges.

You should Google to realize the new discovery made of men's biological clock this past October. It is a very interesting reveal which shows that difficult pregnancies and major birth deforms are actually more a result of the male biological clock than it is the female one. Check it out asap.🥱🥱

How old is she againhuh

The irony of life is that women mature faster than men, that's why they look down at you men when you are 16-28. Fortunately, the wise ones among them at this age know the best thing to do, the unwise keep building fantasies but reality sets in in their 40s when biology no be your mate again. The biological instinct will set in and they will swallow any fantasy they had and face reality. That's why you don't need to argue with them, allow them come to reality by themselves. Nobody leaves this world alive... The Lord is good.... All the time.

He who finds a good wife hath found a good thing! Keep the treasure.
But did you notice how the evening newspaper is still forming hot cake? claiming she can get married tomorrow if she likes? What she fails to acknowledge is that though many men will want to screw her, about none will want to take responsibility of settling with the baggage she has become.

. Here's hoping you don't lose the pregnancy lottery, as some women out there did. If your looks are important to you, maybe pay a surrogate to birth your kids for you. undecided
The pictures you posted are the actual image of those ladies without make up, so rest!

You must be near blind to think that the difference is because they supposedly have no makeup on. I suggest you go see an optometrist for that problem. undecided

You took advantage of the averseness of the average Nigerian to reading to make the bolded lie. I went through the entire document and at no point did it make any comparative statement between male and female fertility rates as age sets in, on the contrary, it states that male fertility can linger till 90, which cannot be said of female fertility, the document was only trying to show that age affects male fertility more than previously thought, so hanty, please rest!

I guess you are also one of those average readers in addition to the fact that comprehension seems to be a weakness of yours as well. undecided

Where in the text you read do you come off reasoning that fertility in men does not linger until and even past 90? undecided

The link to the document you sent without reading states that male fertility lingers 90, go read that?

Did you not see that in addition to the statement that male fertility lingers till 90, I added that the same cannot be said of female fertility? That statement shatters your claim that female fertility is less affected by age than male fertility., and the document you posted did not help your claim.

Notice how you continue to refuse to answer my question because you know well that the conversation that I was having had absolutely nothing to do with the length of fertility, but rather with the quality of fertility with age. You chose to ignore that so you could deviate from the main issue, only to pretend then that you could force your distracted line of reasoning on me as though to suggest that I somehow had my focus wrong. But I am not interested. So, move on along. undecided

Female (The Cliff): Cliff Edge, sharp, sudden decline.
Male (The Slope): Linear, gradual decline.

Gamete Quality
Female: Drops significantly after age 35.
Male: Decreases slowly; DNA fragmentation increases.

Main Concern
Chance of conception (getting pregnant)= very Low
Risk of genetic errors (probability of mutations)= slight probability

Dead on arrival 🥱🥱🥱

You are still talking about quality of fertility with age? Did the document you posted compare the quality of male and female fertility with age? Did you think we will not read it? Did you read it yourself? A man may have low quality fertility at 90, a woman has zero fertility at 80. Rest!

Lola Oj (allegedly to Obafemi Martins), Ini Edo, Chika Ike, Toke Makinwa and now Mercy Eke.

The TuFaces of our intentional baby-mamaism or single motherhood.

Life is interesting. We await the results in a decade or two.

Igbo parents have really failed in this generation and that is why all these shameful things are happening in our tribe. Parents now watch as their daughters grow old in their houses and sometimes they do this for their selfish interests, especially if the daughter is doing well financially. Mothers for instance are failing in instilling marriage consciousness in their daughters. It's all about money, money and money! No values! No morals!
Am I the only one who feels ashamed that all these ladies having and wishing to have children out of wedlock are Igbos? That represents a failure in cultural values and our people must rise to the challenge and nip such disgraceful practice in the buds.
It is a matter I have thought about repeatedly. I have even asked other Nairalanders and a friend privately why it is so.

Some of the reasons are:
- Liberal culture: The culture is liberal. You have the right to choose whatever you want to do with your lives.
- Christianity: Igbos are the major ethnic group in the country that is overwhelmingly Christian. We adopted the Western version rather than the Eastern European version, largely due to colonialism and language. Westernisation promotes liberty and the right to choose.
- Capitalism: Capitalism promotes the end justifies the means. So, do whatever you can to get ahead in the race. This was vital in rebuilding after the Civil War, and if geared towards positive ventures, we excel. At the same time, if such an attitude is geared towards negative aspects, we come tops as well. The key term is to do well in whatever you choose because the culture promotes liberalism.

Nevertheless, even with such views, the southeast has the lowest percentage of children who don't live with their parents in southern Nigeria. Further research is needed to determine why and why not.

Age sabi humble people sha grin cheesy. If you hear the kind of men wey these non-virgins dey request for when dem dey early 20's, you will be shocked. Dem go say " a rich man who loves me, tall, handsome, romantic, chisel abs aka six packs, sweet, treat me like a queen etc ". You go see dem online saying, I can't cook for a man, I can't wash for a man bla bla bla. When 30+ comes knocking, standard go don low. You see them saying "I can do anything for a man I love" grin. Do you mean that you didn't love any man in your early 20's? You no find any man worthy to marry in your 20's but your kpekus find alot of preeq worthy to collect digging from grin. You wey no meet your wife as a virgin and you think she was different, I greet you sir grin.

This statement Mercy said,

I have heard women say this. At the point in life where reality sets in, they don't care. They have the career, they have the money but they miss that child. Life is indeed a strange journey. I asked one of them the other day why she couldn't get pregnant for a guy, she said, she cannot afford to have a baby for a man that would only donate sperm for her so she will rather do IVF and choose from there instead of giving herself 'freely' to the man. In her mind, she bought it. That's women for you wink The cheaper option is not worth it because of that pride so they don't mind spending money on the child that will never know who his real father is. Their thinking, only few understand it. Once you understand it, just play along with them cheesy IVF is also not cheap but you don't discuss logic with women when they are on their emotional roller-coaster. They hate the truth because it embarrasses them so they divert your attention with unrelated issues. Women are naturally more selfish than men but that's a topic for another day.
Thank you for that insight, which is very interesting and an eye-opener. We learn daily.

Fascinating stuff! Walai! I pray for long life o. I would publish papers like mad!!!!!! grin grin grin grin
