Hiring: Network / Software Engineer (ISP Experience Lagos)

I’m working on a new community internet project in Nigeria using dedicated bandwidth (MainOne/IXPN) and I’m looking for an engineer who has real experience with ISPs or telecoms.

I’m specifically looking for someone who has worked with:
– An ISP, MainOne, MTN, Airtel, Spectranet, Smile, etc.
– IP networking (BGP, routing, VLANs, QoS, IPv4, subnetting)
– Mikrotik / Cisco / Juniper / Ubiquiti
– RADIUS / PPPoE / Hotspot systems
– Bonus: captive portals, user billing systems, Paystack/Flutterwave integration.

What we’ll be building (high-level):
– Community WiFi / broadband plans (daily, weekly, monthly)
– User accounts or vouchers for access
– Simple web portal where users can see their plan, usage and pay online.

Have Led field teams in the end-to-end installation, configuration, and alignment of mission-critical telecommunications hardware, including Microwave Links (AMM 20p, CN 510) LSY project for Etisalat, and Ericsson RBS sites (6301, 6101).
Directed post-launch network optimization, using TEMS investigation tools to analyze drive test data and validate RF parameters for LTE networks.
Managed all RF troubleshooting and transmission alarm resolution, performing advanced diagnostics (VSWR, DTF tests) using Anritsu tools to maintain network integrity.
Coordinated material logistics and project timelines for RBS site builds, reporting daily site status to project managers and ensuring customer requirements were met.
Conducted strategic technical site surveys (TSS) and Line-of-Sight (LOS) surveys to identify and validate potential RBS and Microwave Link sites.
Handled several projects across Nigeria and several African country, with the likes of Huawei and Nokia equipment for Orange network.
Have worked with cobranet ISP and Swift Network as a field Support Engineer and LAN specialist.
Have configured, aligned and commissioned different radwin and Cambium radio links for ISP plus troubleshooting aswell

Airspan offers Open RAN (Radio Access Networks) to connect seamlessly to multiple vendors Just integrated it to the cell tower and antenna access granted but it requires legal permissions.

The systems and various network technologies, including:

- xDSL (Juniper, Mikrotik, Cisco, etc.)
- WISP (Ubiquiti, Cambium, Ruckus, etc.)
- WiFi Hotspots (Mikrotik, Nomadix, etc.)
- LTE/5G (Airspan, Telrad, etc.)
- Mobile 2G/3G (MNO, GPRS, etc.)
- IoT, Voice/VoIP, DPI, WiMAX/AeroMax, and VSAT

Infineon , NXP, Arrow.com ,or ST for sim card and router manufacturing. The chips are built by different company while the plastic is mixed and imprinted with the trademark.
