Except that you either lack the idea or pretend not to know, so far in twenty six years of democracy, OBJ has been the best leader undoubtedly. You may ask those who know more than you do. Even Tinubu has been making moves, including begging those necessary to help him secure his second term. Mention just one person who OBJ appealed to for his second term and thereafter turned around to insult that person. Even Fayose’s family members have mentioned those who helped him to power and he turned around to abuse.

In the eight years of OBJ, you could travel the entire length and breath of this nation comfortably.
Fayose had a secure state, provided by a decisive OBJ as the President.
Go and ask about the economy and compare it with the disastrous ten APC years. Fayose benefitted a strong economy at the center. Every part of the country benefitted from that strong leadership.

Fayose is one of the problems behind high dollars exchange rates that have devalued the naira. High demands for dollars and low demand for naira by both naija politicians and ex-politicians.

Fayose will always be a stupid man! If not, we all know the kind of personality Obasanjo is. He might be old, but his mind is still intact! He has verbally and in prints spoiled the reputation of notable people i.e. former VP Atiku, former Aviation Minister Fani-Kayode etc.
I may be wrong but I feel Fasoye was still seeking relevance by inviting Obasanjo to his event and he seized the golden opportunity to do what he knows how to do best, bury you alive . So, why are you furious? Why are you so surprised? Would that be the first time he has done that. I am sure it won't be the last... It's who he is.
So man up and move on... If you had the courage to invite him over, you should have the courage to bear the ensuing grugdes.

Who ever remembered how Fayose dragged Obasanjo those years he had immunity as a governor would not blame OBJ for speaking his mind. He insulted him to the point of saying he slept with his son's wife.
Obasanjo has given birth to children older than Fayose so, he didn't do badly to have said all he said. If Fayose was not a thug, he should have ignored what happened and move on. Im not a big fan of Fayose but in this case i must say he did the right thing to out for peace. OBJ on the other hand was wrong- he went too far.

Baba Obj said in his speech that he was in Rwanda, and that Fayose should cover his logistics for him to attend the birthday. Since he is retired, the transportation cost needed to be taken care of. That was the reason Fayose sent him the money. Fortunately for Baba, Dangote sent his private jet to bring him back.
When things eventually went bad between the two of them, Fayose requested that his money be returned since Baba got free ride through Dangote, and Baba Obliged.
