Does anyone knows how fbnquest add interest on Mondays, I checked my gains on Saturday then rechecked on Monday but i realized they only added Monday interest omitting the Saturday and Sunday. I wanted to call them but I decided to be patient for a day to see maybe there'll be changes

Meet investment Target with Consistency

Christmas 🎄 is exactly a month away and in a matter of days the year ends. Imagine how far it was when we were in January this year but now so close that we can count days. What happend? of course we didn't jump, run or do anything extraordinary it was just one day at a time not fast but consistent and yet we are close now.
That is how investment works, it doesn't necessarily have to be huge or done in a hurry trying to look for high rate at the expense of DD but be consistent.
Consistency is the key to meeting your target in any investment journey.

Don't be reluctant to start small just start with what you have, your target may be far away like Christmas looks like in January of a year, it's just a matter of a day at a time you will get to your targeted financial level.

Rate may go up or down which is normal, income may not have increased or business is not moving as expected, whatever the case just be consistent with your investment it will grow with time.
Consistency always wins in the court of investment.
Happy investing!

They are actually not a Fund manager but fund distributors. You can access various global mutual funds through them like Black rock, Amundi, Etc.

Some of the assets this mutual funds invest in, include ETF, Equities, Bonds, Gold, ETC, commodities etc.

To get more information about some of these funds you need to be the banks client and will need to do a risk profiling to ensure you access products within your risk rating

MPR Held, Inflation Cooling: Implications for Real Returns

With MPR retained at 27% and inflation currently at 16.05%, investors will have positive real returns on their investment if the MMF rate maintains a range between 17 to 20%

What's the implication of this on MMF and Treasury Bills rates? Will the rates fall or go up?

Thank you sir

The implication is glaring. The rates remain within the current range at least between now and the next MPC meeting. Leaving the MPR at 27% is good news for fixed income instruments otherwise rates would have gone down more if MPC had voted for MPR cut.

However, going by economic realities ie continuous ease of inflation, high rate regime is over except there is a change in policy that favors increase in rate.

Emmasoft answered you correctly but here is another explanation.

MPR is like a water tap that CBN and a body of commitee meet and discuss/vote on how to set the flow frequency of money supply (water supply) from that tap.

Increase of MPR means Increase on the returns on the investments like Tbills and your MMF rates.

Decrease of MPR means, rate will fall across board which is why you have been hearing people complaining of MMF rate falling from 20% to now 16%

But this time, CBN didn't cut mpr, meaning they didn't regulate the tap supply, what they only did was to regulate only how banks handles money supply, terms like (Cash reserve ratio, assymetric corridor etc)

Everything I just wrote in one sentence means, Your MMF rate might stay at the current rate for now or slightly improve. Till next year February when they decide again.

You can check the Fund Managers Association of Nigeria website. https://fman.com.ng/pricelist/
They show price lists and yields of different mutual funds of various fund managers, though some managers may not update their data; hence, the FMAN website only has what the fund managers give to them. Just like the NGX will publish the results of companies available to them.

Please i am new to MMF., can someone explain to me. I Invested 4,010,000 naira in Stanbic Money market fund on the 4th of Nov. I was getting an interest of about 1880 naira daily only for me to check the app now and realised that I was credit additional 49,000 as interest for the month. Is the 49,000 naira an error since I was getting interest daily already. I now have a total sum of 4,109,000 in my balance.
Re: Mutual Funds by adedayo77: 12:15pm On Nov 30, 2025
It was a systemic error. It will be deducted from your account before the close of business tomorrow. It has happened in the past. I was also credited with my accumulated interest for the month of November.

Month end recon shenanigans are normal with stanbic.
I also got credited double my interest, but they'll rectify and balance all accounts by tomorrow.

I use United Capital and they only credit interest quarterly. Does stanbic credit interest monthly?
